@Harukaze6852 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5 are all good patches. 6.1 was the only one which was little meh. At least story wise. Also dungeon is not that great either. But 6.2 dungeon is one of my fav EW dungeons.

Fun fact the depictions of the Heavens of Lightning and Fire are in line with their descriptions in the early astrologian quests when you ran around attuning to constellations

First time I did aglaia it also took me a hot minute to figure out how to read Nald'thal's mechanics, though I do take a form of delight in how confident Kyle was saying how it worked and very much not knowing how it worked. Anyway Aglaia is one of my central arguments for why at most all duties should have a hard ilevel cap of 30-40 above their minimum ilevel.

I agree. Nald'thal is simple when you understand how it works and you feel dumb in retrospect, but I also wiffed on it the first time.

Man just seeing the full fights properly with minilvl is so satisfying and sad at the smae time. The dev team needs to boost the boss hp by at least 30-40% because people are missing out on SO MANY mechanics on normal roulette runs.

yeah it really feels like they tried to overcorrect from the Nier bosses having too much HP. at the very least they should implement the min ilvl setting quicker for older raids.

It's at a point where the alliance has to agree to hold back DPS to let the 1st timers watch the Scales cutscene from nald'thal, and god knows getting 20 people to all agree on something like that is pretty damn difficult.

I love this raid set. My god is Byregot and getting to fight him first was like meeting my favorite wrestler then having them kick my ass for a good 2 minutes before signing my stuff and giving me a pat on the head.

We all wiped on the scales mechanic at least once on release, if not more. Especially if multiple ppl trying to correct the imbalance.

There is actually a lore and meaning video covering the song 'In the Balance' by the Eorzea Archive which goes into the worshiping on Nald'Thal by the Uldah people. Very fun watch imo, gives a lot of context to the meaning of the song. Also, interesting to see these boss mechanics again, most roulettes don't ever get to the scales on the last fight now due to the dps capabilities these days. While I am doing the roulettes, I'm thankful for it for the quick gtfo, but when wanting to see the whole fight it is sad to lose out.

This time in terms of music trivia: A number of music pieces that feature a leitmotif from the song "Dawn of a New Era" (which first played at the very end of the ARR opening cinematic and then once more at the end of 2.0)! First is the theme that plays in the Omphalos which is named "One among Wonders". After that are the non-boss theme of Aglaia named "Pilgrimage" and the regular boss theme named "Radiance". Last but not least, there is the theme for the fight against Nald'thal "In the Balance" (which uses *coins* as part of the percussion instruments).

So fun fact - Myths of the Realm and Pandaemonium were intentionally written to be thematic opposites to each other. The obvious example of this is how Pandaemomium is a (metaphorical) descent into hell, while Myths of the Realm is an ascension to the heavens. Each time I look through the story I find more of these parallels. Like how Pandaemonium is looking to the past while Myths is about the future of the star. I don't think it amounts to anything but they're fun ideas to play around with.

Not sure kyle knows, but you don't have to use the map to teleport. There is a teleport list that i find really convenient.

I have never been so salty about a gear caused nerf as in this raid. It is a CRIME that the balance mechanic can be skipped. YOU HEAR ME SE?!? EITHER PUT IN A GEAR LIMIT OR MAKE IT A 0.1% FORCED MECHANIC. THAT SHOULD BE UNSKIPPABLE FOR THE SAKE OF ALL SPROUTS.

There are 3 tells either the skybox color, the color of the lanterns around the boss .... and the name so they were not wrong After this whenever I do Pretorium at the end when Gaius has his rabbling's saying the 12 are primals .... I now always cant help but go .... Your half right Gaius ... those were primals but the 12 are something else you see I meet them >D

Not that it’s a huge problem for normal content, but for the love of dancers and black mages out there, please can people ask the guys to make their pre-pull countdown timers 15 seconds? I don’t usually manage to catch the stream so I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it to them before?

I agree - the last Jedi was ok. It failed its treatment of Luke because it tried to play it as a crazy old man to mirror his meeting with Yoda but he came out as a cowardly old man instead. Outside of that, it was the only movie out of the new trilogy to at least try something new. The first movie of the new trilogy is a copy paste of the earlier films and the last was an ai rendition of the material.

Yeah the devs heard people saying nier was too difficult and scaled the endwalker raids down but they did it a little too muchwhere mechanics are skipped with gear upgrades. The endwalker raids were fun but need more if a challenge

@Payadopa yeah endwalker as a whole was scaled down too much. I just was focusing on the raids because your comme t was about this raid. They did say they were gonna turn up the difficulty in dawntrail just time will tell if they do it enough or not
