Some more budget friendly clean perfumes that smell great are Alyssa Ashley Musk, Jovan White Musk as well as the original Jovan Musk, and my personal favorite, Skin Musk by Bonne Belle parfums......also Demeter Pure Soap is nice.

I'm a guy and I really like Juliets got a gun Not a Perfume. It's great on its own or layered with Dior Homme Original. Love it.

Nice picks! Today I'm wearing Montblanc Signature for women a light creamy vanilla.I like a soapy creamy clean scent. Don't care for detergent smelling fragrances on me. Lately I've been craving soapy scents with magnolia and iris.Recently picked up Ivoire by de Balman and Cartier Baiser Vole they both smell soapy clean on me.

Hi Sam! Thanks for this video! When I first smelt Chanel No 22 in the boutique, it was love at first sniff! I have a small sample at home that I'm treasuring! I think I will be picking it up soon. I completely agree that I wear what I want, when I want!❤️

I recently got on the "clean" hype train because I have started ironing my shirts every sunday. That smell I get from ironing, together with the hints of my washing detergent (Chante Clair Marsiglia, which smells really clean and soapy) is perfect to me. I read quite a few reviews and notes on my quest for the perfect "freshly ironed shirt" smell. I was quite sceptical of Byredo but ended up trying Blanche. At first I did not enjoy it and it smelled like insect repellant but it grew and grew on me. I actually ended up buying a bottle. From your list, I also really have been wanting to try Tent de Neige but I will definitely look up the other ones mentioned. Cloud 9 sounds great. With Chanel I feel I can't go wrong, especially since I do enjoy aldehydes. Xerjoff is a love/hate brand for me.

Hello Sam! I always enjoy your videos. Sel Marin and Menthe Fraiche by Heeley are very clean and refreshing, sea salt and mint, really refreshing, classy and minimalistic for summer.

I’ve tried Not A Perfume and I can’t smell nothing haha. A few of my friends said the same thing while some others say that it smells different on everyone or it changes how other perfume smells. I guess it is like a kind of solvent that helps evaporate therefore changes the way other fragrances perform and emphasize your body chemical？Anyway a very interesting concept for a perfume.

Hi there - Thank you for the video. Hope you are well. I like Chanel’s 1957 and also Narciso Rodriguez’s Pure Musk. My scent of the day today was the soft Riviera from Chanel’ Les Eaux collection.

My current go-to clean scent is Powder by Perfumer H. It's in the posh talcum powder corner of clean scents (as the name suggests), but it also has this fluffy raspberry mousse vibe in the dry down (to my nose). I never would have thought that I would be into that, but I love it! It's definitely not one for folks who like lots of long-lasting projection, but I prefer quieter scents. I recently tried a perfume that smelled of play-doh (among other things) for the first time! Before trying it, I would have thought "What is Sam talking about?" but I totally get it now! The one I tried was Black Peony by Parfum Satori (a very soft floral amber).

I do enjoy Chanel No°22. Need to get that. I find No°22 is brighter & more fresh than °5. No°5 is very comforting & reminds me of face powder compacts from when my mother was young or of my grandmother's prime. Soft, powdery, feminine, slightly rose, or floral. Thx for your reviews. 😉 Have you ever tried the scents from Krigler or Floris? I looove Floris Cefiro. Never tried Krigler.

I know what you mean about the playdough. I get that whenever I try out my sister's Glossier You. I described it as clay-like and a deal breaker for me. Really insightful recs I'm going to check them out. Thank you!!

My go-to clean scent is Prada Amber Pour Homme. I'll always love that one, so clean and powdery. I also really enjoy Rosas Secas by Coqui Coqui, it starts off rosy and dries down to a fancy bar soap and Thymes Eucalyptus, it reminds me of Irish Spring soap.

Hello Sam, thank you for this nice review. I hear about Chabaud regularly, it's on my "brand to test" wish list 🙂. 2 clean soapy fragrances I have tested are Acqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza, and Chanel Allure homme sport (very soapy, this one!) . I recently figured out I'm not a fan of purely clean fragrances, for example I don't reach out much to "not a perfume"... But I enjoy fragrances with a very clean aspect... If that makes sense. My last purchase is a lovely bright and strong orange blossom on fresh incense with that very clean character, it's Atlas from Loewe. I find it quite addictive. Have a nice weekend!

Loved this video, thank you. Would you consider Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt to be a clean scent? The Chabaud fragrance sounds beautiful but alas, I can’t find anyone in Australia who stocks it.

Hi, I love your channel because you give such thorough reviews. I care about quality of ingredients and I love to venture into lesser known brands. You have introduced me to some incredible gems 🙏 I would love to hear your thoughts on *Agatha Blois Carnival Wax* scents. Her "Green Dragon" scent is one I can't put down lately. I wear it when I need a pick-me-up. It is a tea-based scent with notes of green tea, sea shells, amber, and wood. I couldn't recommend it enough. On the topic of clean T-Shirt Musks, she also makes a scent called "The Reverend" which to my nose is the *ultimate* most delightful clean musk scent ever‼ -jonah

Hi,thank you for review but I cannot believe you did not mention Warm Cotton Classic.For me, this is the only fragrance that smells like laundry detergent, I just wish it performance would be longer..All the perfumes you mentioned are more soapy and flower smelling to me..If you can think of a perfume that is like 99% Warm Cotton Classic but lasts longer please let us all know😘

Buenas tardes a todos y hola Sam, today my version of clean is a mélange of Dior J'adore, Coco Mademoiselle and Gingham from Bath and Body Works sprayed on different parts of the body. I feel feminine, happy and 2 or 3 lines just above detergent. Also, tested Bal D'Afrique which is clean to me, but 0 longevity, as well as this is not a perfume. Loved these last 2, yet due to thirsty skin, I literally have to glue my nose to my skin. Will get a decant of Chanel No. 22. Thank you, Sam. Another idea perhaps, parfum that has a rain vibe? Watery rain in rivers, lakes ocean, forest, mountain top, etc. Ciao!

SOTD: Orchidee Vanille Van Cleef & Arpels Sometimes a good clean scent just hits the spot! But I detest the smell of play dough. I don’t even let my kids play with it. Like seriously. People think I’m joking and will buy them play dough but I’m 100% serious and it goes in the poubelle.

I think the play-dough for me comes out with Terragon. That's the only thing I can figure it must be. Dirty from Lush does the same thing for me, but it's a big reason I stopped turning to it. I wanted more mint than play-dough

I don't think I ever cared for "clean" or detergent style perfumes but some of these make me want to try some. My SOTD is Aqua Millefolia, by Le Couvent Maison de Parfum, wow that's a mouthfull! oxJulia
