MUSHROOM MASALA
1.Mushroom -200gm
2.Shallots cleaned -20-25 (whole)
3.Big onion chopped small -1
4.Tomato chopped small -1
5.Ginger chopped small -1/2 “
6.Garlic chopped small -8-10
7.Green chili chopped small -2 nos
8.Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
9.Chili powder -1-2 tsp
10.Coriander powder -2 tbsp
11.Pepper powder (opt) -1 tsp
12.Salt - to taste
13.Coconut milk (thick) -1/2 cup
Seasoning
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard -1/2 tsp
Red chilli - 2 nos
Curry leaves -2 twigs
Preparation
1.Set aside the mushroom smearing salt, turmeric and wheat powder 10 mts.
Then thoroughly clean in running water applying less pressure.
Cut into pieces.
2.Season the pan with the ingredients, add the whole shallots, sauté 5-8 mts
Add tomato and salt, ginger, garlic, green chili etc and sauté till oil comes out.
Add the powders, sauté adding salt and mushroom.
Keep closed till moisture separates from mushroom. Boil all together adding
one cup boiling water 5-6 mts. Add the coconut milk.
Finish off by adding pepper powder(opt) and curry leaves. Serve hot.
