N.C. doctor: COVID patients are younger, sicker

2 жыл бұрынThe delta variant has resulted in Dr. Andre Frederick, a physician at CarolinaEast Health System, seeing more patients who are younger and sicker.
"The overwhelming narrative I get from patients, especially younger, is 'I didn't think it would be so bad if I got it' or 'I didn't think I would get it because everyone around me is vaccinated' or 'I'm not going where sick people are,'" he said.
Andre shared his experiences as part of NCHA's 'Frontline Voices', a series of short videos featuring frontline healthcare workers sharing what it's like taking care of COVID patients as cases and deaths continue to increase.
Vaccinations save lives.

It Dr. Frederick says it, you can take it to the bank. He is an incredibly caring, personable and scary smart.

How does a mask protect? Some of the boxes actually say not suitable for virus protection. The viruses mostly pass straight through and the ones caught don’t suddenly perish but sit there on a warm wet surface until the mask is invariably touched and potentially spread.
