Because they NEED to speak Telugu to do their job well. Upasana doesn't NEED to speak Telugu, as she is surrounded mostly by people who speak other languages. Language fanatics should calm down. Languages were created for people, not the other way around!

Even other language doctors also will try to communicate in local languages to understand the problem of patient..

@@VasavyaYagati It's an interview, so she should speak in a language that she feels comfortable in the most. It is evident that she does understand Telugu but she does not know it well enough to articulate her thoughts in that language. The channel could have added subtitles in Telugu to reach out to Telugu people better. But that is the channel's fault, not Upasana's. Doctors will try to speak in the patient's language because there is literally no other way to diagnose the problem. I do not understand how this has any relevance to Upasana. She doesn't need to learn Telugu to do her job. Hope you are not offended. I am not supporting her, I just do not understand why she is getting so much hate when she has done nothing to deserve it.

Languages are not easy for everyone to learn. Folks being able to learn just by hearing others speak are extraordinary and really smart. Not everyone can be as smart as others. Ability to speak one or 2 languages effectively is enough for survival.

ఉపాసన గారు తమిళనాడు లో పెరిగారన్నారు. అక్కడి వారు మాతృభాషను దైవంతో సమానంగా భావిస్తారు. నాకు తమిళం రాదు అన్న స్థానికులను హీనంగా చూస్తారు. ఏ భాష వారైనా వారి మాతృభాషను గౌరవిస్తేనే వారికీ గౌరవం. తెలుగు మాతృ భాషగా కలిగి ఉండి, తెలుగు రాదను వారిని మనం మాత్రమే ఇలా పిలిచి పీట వేస్తున్నాం. పుట్టింటి, మెట్టింటి కుటుంబాలు గడిస్తున్న సంపద అత్యధికం తెలుగు వారి వలనే. ఆర్జించేందుకు తెలుగు వారు కావాలి. వారి భాష తో అవసరం లేదా?

What dose Upasana think about Telugu. She saying that she knows only Hyderabadhy like Urdu language in Hyderabad. It means there is no Telugu language in Hyderabad It is too much. Mostly Telugu people utilising Apollos services and pharmacy. So Upasana must know that and at least should know some Telugu words and talk them.

తెలుగు వారికి వారిభాష మీద వారికి అభిమానం తక్కువ. తెలుగులో మాట్లాడితే ఇతరులు ఏమనుకుంటారో ననే ఆత్మన్యూనత ఎక్కువ. పరాయి రాష్ట్రాల్లో కొద్ది కాలం వుండి వచ్చి న ఇద్దరు తెలుగు వాళ్లు కలిస్తే ఆ రాష్ట్ర భాషో లేకపోతే వచ్ఛీరాని ఆంగ్లంలో నో మాట్లాడతారు గానీ తెలుగులో సంభాషించరు. అదే ఇద్దరు బెంగాలీ లో లేదా మాలయాళీలో, తమిళులు లో కలిసినప్పుడు వారి భాషలోనే సంభాషిస్తారు. విదేశీ వ్యామోహం, పాశ్చాత్య అనుకరణ, ఈ మమ్మీ, డాడీ సంస్కృతి మన తెలుగువారిలోనే ఎక్కువ. టీ. వీ ముఖాముఖీలలో అన్య భాషా నటీ నటులు చక్కని తెలుగులో మాట్లాడితే మన తెలుగు నటులు తెలుగు రానట్లు వచ్ఛీ రాని ఆంగ్లంలో మాట్లాడతారు. మన భాష మీద మనకు మమకారం లేకపోవడం వలననే మనమంటే మిగతా భాషల వాళ్ళకి తెలుగు వాళ్లంటే చులకన భావం. ఒకప్పుడు దేశంలో ఎక్కువమంది మాటలాడె భాషల్లో రెండవ స్థానంలో ఉన్న తెలుగు, తెలుగులో మాట్లాడే వాళ్లు తగ్గిపోవడం తో నాల్గో స్థానానికి పడిపోయింది. ఈ పరిస్థితి పోవాలంటే ముందుగా తల్లి తండ్రులలో మార్పు రావాలి. పరాయి భాషలో చదువుకున్నా సరే తెలుగు వారు తమ బాష పై మమకారం పెంచుకోవాలి.
