This lap was filmed during Skylimit Events Track Day when I was doing taxi laps with the Apex Polo GTI. Since it was my passenger's first ever lap, I decided to give him a little background info of the track.

5:44 I was waiting for "this is misha's corner, this is where I crashed" :D Jimmers started using that name for it and I hope it sticks. You deserve your own corner at the track even if it's an unofficial name like the youtube corner.

Misha, thank you for your time and information provided for first timers during a tourist lap. I'm from Dallas, Tx. and went to Nürburgring a few Wednesdays ago with my cousin from Wiesbaden. It was great fun, a little wet but really exciting! Rented a GTI from RSR. The people at RSR were fantastic as well. A shout out to GT7 too for teaching me all the turns. Ciao und danke!!!

What an awesome video to watch Misha - as a person that only does Sim-racing, that was sooo entertaining to watch. And a HUGE!!! shoutout to your driver, who was very very generous with all the info of not only the track itself, but he also confirmed for me, a few bits of information on the way I like to drive this track in the Sims --- after doing hundreds of laps in Online Racing.

Been around 2 laps on the ring and recently started drive sim (assetto corsa) and have grinded it a lot. Just got my first sub 10 in the AE86, so this video will help with what lines to take!

I wish there was an option in Assetto Corsa to start from Breidscheid. It is so difficult to practice the 'back half' of the track if you start every time from Hatzenbach.

If you want to learn some specific corners you can turn around, drive back and drive it again and again. GT86 is the best car to learn the track IMO.

@@FireEye-zd4fm The m235i is very good too. A lot of people start with the mx5 cup but its actually pretty hard to drive (snappy).

@@keishi7762 talking about cars, there is a e92 m3 mod which handles very nice. I always use it to practise before going for a lap on the nordschleife :)

That was a fanatastic first lap at the ring, the driver clearly has lots of other track experiance!! Definitely a bucket list item for me to do the apex hotel/drive event one day

I already knew this entire track from memory from a 2007 racing game. I never knew it existed in real life and is identical to the one in the game, I always assumed that it was a fictional in-game track. It's a very weird feeling to know exactly what corner is coming up without ever having seen the track...

Always enjoy the the track descriptions. I actually thought for a minute the customer was driving. Then I realized Misha would've been giving much more directions and not describing. I must sit closer I guess.

I really enjoyed that. Very good tips. Off subject do you think you could do a video on places to visit around the nurburgring for people doing road trips of a few days along with the best driving roads? We have had to defer our trip from the UK to next year and would be nice to get some tips from a local.

Misha, loved the lap. Could you do other laps in the GT 2 and the Mclaren 620R with the commentary? It would be good to have an insight into the difference between the cars regarding where to use speed, brakes, and how the cars handle/drive better or worse at different parts of the track/corners. If you have assetto corsa you can download an old version of the Nürburgring and drive the South loop and Steilstrecke.

Then an other question, what do when you go with your own car first time ever on the ring? i mean what is importent to know or do, with you car ,insurance etc ( i drive a jd-engeneered (chiped and dsg tune) vw golf 7 1.4 dsg)

Have the right tools and mindset.

Make sure your car is in good condition, street legal, and talk to your insurance first (many insurances exclude driving on a race track even though it's considered a public road during tourist drives). When on the track, take it easy, CONSTANTLY look in your mirrors, and make way when someone faster approaches from behind - in a safe manner of course. Enjoy
