Here is my version of osu rewind 2022! 2022 has been one of the craziest years in recent memory for osu. When we sit down to unpack everything, osu has progressed a lot this year, and we have done so many things together. There have been a lot of ups and downs this year, but at the end of it all, we have made through another year (somehow). As this historic year comes to an end, I thought it would be fun to recap what happened in 2022 one last time. Let's take a trip down memory lane one last time.

One of the most insane moments in my opinion was when Dressurf ended Jakads' 5 year reign at the top of the Mania Leaderboards. That and when Jakads quit.

been an osu player since 2017 and this year has been by far the best and most entertaining. so many legendary scores were set, so many fun things happened, owc was insane and the game has just been doing very well for itself. this community is awesome and i can't wait to see what 2023 is gonna bring :D

2023 will be on a whole other level. Mrekk will beat shiges overall #1 time, a 1.6kpp score will be set, mrekks entire top 100 will be 1k pp scores, shige will set a 1.2k hdhr score. Just a few of my predictions

I sometimes consider whether or not it was worth sacrificing so much time to playing osu when I could be doing other things but this year has completely thwarted my mindset, so much has happened in 2022 and I'm honestly so glad that I stuck around the entire time. This community is by far one of the best communities I've ever been in, The entire community has made me realize that yes, it was worth spending hundreds of hours playing this game. Thank you everyone for an amazing year!

more of an osu!mania related thing, but personally the biggest thing for me this year was dressurf taking down jakads' **1963 day** (5 years + 4 1/2 month) reign as #1. probably the most incredible moment in my entire history playing mania.

I personally play a lot of tech maps and love mrekk's cycle hit hddt fc and i also loved the aim tournament finals where whitecat went against badeu

I only started playing the game in august and followed the community around that time too, so I dont really have a good sense of what went down in 2022. But my favorite moment has to be mrekk's Cycle Hit DT FC. I have the song in my playlist for my way to uni and everytime I get goosebumps thinking about the play. I wish everyone reading this a Happy New Year May it bring better times and even more insane plays to us all

I'm a mania player who's always been hopelessly bad at standard so I can only really look at the community from the outside in. It's a bit sad that I missed out on all of this but i'm glad that the community has grown as much as it did and i wish you all a great new year

For me the best thing of the year was the return of aetrna, his ability + the wooting keyboard just make him do the pp record on a map that the second best play with 3 mod its a D rank (also his 3 mod play on rog-unlimitation), but the best part is his determination and i really expect mind blowing scores of him

Im pretty much new into the game, but still I was fascinated how extremely powerful this community is.. Im glad that we have someone like BTMC, who cares about this game like his own child and always makes something that can make our mood better, roundtable was the best thing i have ever watched in terms of games ( i heard about owc2017 grandfinals, but sadly i didnt watch it ). I watched many videos connected to history of top players in this game and it was just pretty fascinating as well, this game changed my view on how should i look up to the games I would like to honorable mention new speed prodigies ( mostly Roaz and WindowLife ), the 12yo guy 900pp was quite huge too and ofc that cycle hit DT fc too

It's crazy to see what this game has become. I started playing back in 2012 and used to play everyday but I stopped around 2016 as playing too much was causing wrist issues. Glad to see the community doing so well.

Let's not forget WindowLife who I'd say the fastest player to improve, setting insane scores (Like united DT), and El Merami who literally skipped 800,900,1000pp in one play.

2022 was the year I started playing osu and ended the year hitting 200k. I’m glad I started playing osu and was able to witness these crazy scores

Mania player here, one of the most crazy moment for me was when dessurf got #1 on mania globally. Jakads was 1 for 5 years and dessurf made mania history. Also I love the fact that mania finally got some love with acc over score. Before I think if you had a score of 925k+ your gained more ranks and got more pp but now it's based on acc. More acc = higher pp now

As a catch player I would like to mention Hyperw (aka Yesmydarknesss) and his top plays of the year he's the only player with 1.4k pp+ and also having 1.6k on his belt and he broke both records within days By fcing Put an end nm day or 2 later with Hd and a week later with HR which makes it 1,601 pp also to mention his Galaxy collapse HdHr fc worth 1,298pp

Mrekk has so many 1k pp plays that it feels like if a map has the possibility to get a 1k pp play through it mrekk will get it no matter how many mods he has to put.
