One thing to point out is that iG.Faith on the Leshrac picked up ulti early (before maxing out the other skills) which is a great counter against Naga's ulti. 38:28 is a great demonstration

That fight when Dendi missed his ult then XBOCT ultied to get them in position was really strange. If Dendi had hit that ult they probably could have won that fight but there was no chance without it. Guess they knew that if they didn't take that fight it would have been another free tower for iG and they really didn't that to happen.

You can't hwlp but cheer for Na'Vi. I mean, they are one of the few good non-Asian teams, and the teamwork and trust they have for each other just exemplifies what a team sport should look like.

Vincere in Latin literally means and is most commonly used as "to conquer" "to win" is also an acceptable translation since they have similar meanings.

I'm curious as to which champions from LoL you think were based on Dota heroes. I played Dota for over 5 years and LoL for around 3 and haven't noticed any remarkable similarities in champions, other than a few skills here and there that are used in almost every game.

He had the wherewithall to continue to update it YEAR AFTER YEAR way way beyond when the original creators (Eul/Guinsoo) were willing to go. He made DOTA what it is, so therefore you can say that he really did create it.

That's like going to Old Trafford to watch a United game, only to wonder why the other team (let's say... Liverpool) isn't getting cheered on when they score. While the commentators SHOULD be unbiased, the crowd certainly has no such obligations.

DotA is the ancestor of all games like this (LoL, HoN etc). It was actually a single fanmade map on Warcraft III. Many of original heroes in LoL are based on DotA chars ( i have played LoL for years and i have played DotA long enoug to know). The biggest difference in DotA you have alot more options(builds,destroyable trees etc) and you lose money when you die, while LoL is much straight forward and it's easyer to come back when you have fallen behind

Icefrog didn't work on Aeon of Strife, which is the game you're talking about. After DotA became a thing, several different games edited by different people, Eul took the reigns and made the best version of DotA. This widely accepted version became the back bone for the DotA we know today. Eul was succeeded by Guinsoo and Guinsoo by Icefrog.

That is why i spoke of each teams unique playstyle. While it is true that the top asian teams have changed in such a mannner, they ony represent a fragment of the asian dota community. If you watch league games there is more distinguishable difference between western and eastern teams in general. That is why in my opinion terms eastern and western dota are still viable terms, tough it would be more accurate to spea about traditional eastern and traditional western playstyle.

Thx for replying me. I watched the games long time ago. It is as u said more farmed-orientated. It depends on the playing style, but also the particular version of that time. That was still a version that long time game was normal. Ice frog made changes to make games going fast. Therefore farm-orientated cannot assure the victory anymore, neither does gank. It is now the pushing and team fight orientated games. Dont let people watch old videos, the older they r, the less meaningful they become

@dark77ac11 жыл бұрын
thx :D yeah i think i understand, dota has more depth and it is harder to master, but in a pro lvl i think both games are rly competitve. Most heroes in lol has skillshots and how you throw (i dont know if it is said like that :P) the skillshots define your skills most of the times, it is not that there arent unique spells or that there arent items with actives,it is that there are less. This makes dota alot harder to master.
@3darkn1t11 жыл бұрын
has a massive flaw: as long as the team can go 4v5, the carry will change the game. But in the European scene, the carries are expected to participate in team fights as much as possible. I despise this metagame but studied the pros and the cons of it. Once the carry dies in a teamfight, there goes a huge advantage to the enemy. The plus side is that once a team fight hero dies, the push that ensues will be large. I have done it before, I have seen it before, I have suffered from it before.

Because Captain's mode is more strategic. You can ban enemy players form choosing certain characters - a massive game changing thing to have.
