Thank you for uploading this. I've watched it several times now. Most people think of Nadia as a very serious person, but this documentary shows that she's just like everyone else. She jokes around with Paul Zert, laughs a lot, and talks about what Bart has brought to her life. I'm glad they're still together this many years later (2012 as I write) and have a son. There has never been a more perfect, graceful gymnast than Nadia Comaneci. Lovely, beautiful woman.

The persona she shows now is different .in romania people are more free don t put an act so much she had to learn the american way of pretending

@@dananitu2452 Nope. Nadia is an American now. She has an American husband and American son and now lives in Oklahoma. Why do you want her to have that bizarre "Romanian" personality like she had in 1989-90 when she was with Constantine? Nadia is awesome and always has been. In Romania your gymnastics team is crappy now, btw. Worry about your own country before worrying about America and Nadia. She was treated like complete garbage by the Romanian government and Romanian elite. I don't blame her for wanting to live in America. Nicu Ceaucescu abused her physically and sexually. Nadia said the photo of the executed Ceaucescus was the most beautiful photos she ever saw in her life.

The parallel bars of love? What kind of metaphor is that? One that has a lot of possibilities. I like it. But there is an asymmetric aspect to this story that is not being told before Bart met Nadia. I hope that Bart writes his memoirs some day.

Because she met Bart Conner and fell in love with him and married him and now they have a son together. She and Bart also run a gym and numerous gymnastics-related businesses in Oklahoma. She also still is a high-ranking member in the Romanian Olympics Committee and Romanian Gymnastics Federation. She has not abandoned her country at all.

No, that wasn’t why she left. She couldn’t take the communist way of life with her every movement being watched and controlled anymore. Read her book “letters to a young gymnast”.
