He deserves a chance! He is not an ordinary player, he is some player, look at his body language really calmn and composed. I rate him still a best opener for pakistan. He can bat, he can speak, he handle media well. We lost a gem!

@@AbhishekKumar-ue8uk I know and I completely agree with you, most Pakistanis just talk about the 92 World Cup and CT17. I think the major reason is probably because most of 92 winners are the one doing commentary’s or on tv doing shows on the other hand players of 2009 are just busy with their private life’s, they talk about CT17 because it’s recent one….. BUT still I blame to the pak cricket fans who prefers one achievement than the other one and it SHOULD be the opposite, whoever wins any world tournament must be respected EQUALLY.

With respect 1996 wc pak openers were playing like they are goin to chase score in 40 overs but result was batting order collapse soon..same happened in many major tournaments apart from 2021 t20 wc indian bowlers were able to all out or restricted pak batsman in low score so indian bowlers not dangerous in speed but in terms of mind set they are strong compair to pak bowlers ...love from india ❤

Listening to Ahmad Shahzad in all his recent interviews, he always exudes genuine passion and desire to represent Pakistan at the international level. It isn't looking likely that he will be selected, given the current strategy, which will be a real shame. All the best to him!
