Her mom speaks to her in German, her dad speaks to her in Korean, her parents speak to each other in a mix of English and Korean, she learns English at school, and her overseas grandma speaks to her in Spanish. This method forces the child to use a different language fully with each adult instead of them taking shortcuts and mixing languages (mixing the languages too much is a sign that they're not developing their vocabularies enough). Sarang's parents did this too (Korean dad/Japanese mom). And not using this method is why William's English isn't very developed. Both his parents use Korean with him so Korean became the primary language of communication with both parents.

Ikr?! But I think it's doing the opposite. I think Korean women are getting more picky when looking for husbands because these shows set the standard high. 😅

When she’s with Johoo and his family when they were speaking Korean? I bet even though she understands words it’s still a bit hard but hey they’re working things out cause AS HUSBAND AND WIFE THEY HAVE PROPERLY TALKED ABOUT HOW THEYLL RAISE their kids. Like how it was mentioned by Anna that she speaks to Naeun in English, Joohoo and his side of family in Korean and Anna’s mom in Spanish. Even William, they mentioned in an episode that they speak two languages at home. Heck, even in my case it’s the same. I speak our national language with my dad, English to my mom, spanish to my grandmother and Japanese to my brother. It’s not like everyone in the family can speak Spanish and Japanese but hey there’s actually no problem to it. 👌

With Naeun being so considerate, I'm sure she learned being this way from her mom and everyone around her, they might have definitely asked him if he wants to learn but he is busy or could be lazy. @KPop Rocks ! she has to communicate with her daughter in german if she wants her to learn and retain it. She's still young, the moment she stops nourishing it, her german skills will get stuck or deteriorate. The dad can learn german just like the mom is learning korean.

There are things you need to teach your child even before they are old enough to understand it. Many parents just let it slide since there's no point in teaching something to someone if they can't understand but if you do it anyway maybe that way the child will be behaved better
