The song, dresses and dance all are traditional form Gujarat (state in India) and believe me we do even more complex dance steps with way more people and costumes even heavier.

So, the singers in Bollywood are called playback singers. At a particular point in time, a few are more popular than others and consequently get more work which sometimes makes it seem that they are singing in a lot of movies. But there is no rule as to having a single playback singer for a particular artist.

This dance is inspired by the Gujarati folk dance ‘Garba’. Every year during Navratri (a religious/cultural festival which falls some time between Mid September to Mid October depending on the Indian Lunar Calendar) Indian communities worldwide (especially the Gujaratis) celebrate the festival by organising a Garba (there are prayers followed by dancing and eating). Find out when and where one is being organised in your city and try to experience it.
