Get rid of the defense. Bring new guys . Use 5 defenders which looks like 3 man defense when attacking. Make sure the 3 man defense maintain the centeral area at all times, i.e center halves and central parts of the pitch to stop counters. Use two center forwards, don't attack until you push the opponents to their final third to make it difficult for them to breakout. If they leave space behind then go long to attack. Not more than 2 man on the wings(wide spaces) no matter what happens. Keep most of the team on attack at the center with full back drifting into spaces when the opponents are compact. The full back will have to be fast and do alot of dribbles 1v1

havertz at full back and kimmich next to gundogan? this is why nagelsmann got sacked at bayern. this isnt the time for superficial experimentation, not when germany got bounced at the wc group stages twice. even if these are friendlies a bit of a win streak would've helped boost all around morale. defense is still the biggest issue, in particular turkey bossed the middle this match, which begs the question why the gundo-kim pairing? called up robert andrich last inter break, he's the only real six in the squad, yet he hasnt even been given a single minute but havertz gets to start at fullback for some reason

No character, no soul, random tactics, desperation apparent by calling up the likes of Havertz who's done nothing this whole season and then playing him as a left-back. Rüdiger is just useless at this point, Tah looks lost, midfielders can't do anything except pass the ball to whoever is near them. The only forward that does anything is Füllkrug, and that just tells you how bad the rest of the team is. I'm afraid that we have the worst generation of players in the history of the German team, and that the DFB doesn't care about football anymore

Why experiment again? There were only two players who are combative in the starting line up. The front six all offensively. Then you have Havertz as LB and Henrich as RB. You simply cannot win a game with this lineup unless you face a very small nation. You need balance in the team. Even without talented players like 2002. You can still win with other factors.

Man, wtf is going on with Germany and Italy? We freaking suck. I'm Italian and the team has been getting progressivaly worse since 2006. sure we have our moments and do decent in the Euros but it's still problematic performance wise. It looks like Germany is going through a similar slump after each tournament. Hopefully things are better next year, good luck Germany!

Italy has always been average even when they won the world cup it was pure luck... they always got outplayed and Zidane cost them that game... against the Netherlands they got outplayed in 2000 I believe and somehow won that... The luck has caught up to Italy

Lack of home grown talents and over reliance on foreign players is a common problem for both. Italy and Germany once gave who's who of Europe's finest defenders and midfielders.
