Any tips you could give to get these foils to stick would be greatly appreciated. Have tried three different makes of foil gel, followed instructions and varied the curing time and I’m blowed if I can get any to stick. Am wondering what I’m doing wrong. Yours look fantastic.

Sounds obvious but it isn't always depending on the foil, are you putting the correct side of the foil onto the cured gel? Is anything sticking? Like a patchy effect or nothing at all?

@@beautymattersnails I have had patchy bits. Bought some nail foil glue in the end which works quite well but I am now left with three bottles of foil gel I can’t use. The problem is getting a decent full nail coverage with the gel. Definitely got the foil the right way up. Must have watched 20 or more tutorials on KZfaq trying to get it right. I have a UV lamp. Tried 30 seconds as stated on the bottle then 60 seconds. My lamp cures for 15,30 and 60 seconds.Tried Kiki London , Makarrt and Naio nails gel. Thank you for taking the time to reply. X

@Sambatastic I've never used any of those gels myself but the curing time for a UV lamp is usually much longer than an LED so I'd try curing for more 90-120 seconds. Your application is important too. If you apply too thick anywhere on the nail it won't cure all the way through so will be too slippy for the foil to stick and same the other way round. If you apply too thin anywhere on the nail you could end up curing it too much so it's not sticky. Also make sure to remove the inhibition layer from your gel colour under the foil gel because sometimes that can mix with your foil gel as you paint it on and that can stop the foil from sticking in places x
