Nail Technician Reacts to Client Fixing Broken Nail with Polygel
In this video I am going to watch my client taking off her broken acrylic nails and then doing a new nail extension with polygel on dual forms!
This client had some previous experience when doing soft gel extensions, she also recorded everything and I have a video reaction to it,
here is the link - • Nail Technician Reacts...
I think she did a great job on removing that acrylic nail and doing new extension.
What do you guys think?

It’s the worst pain to go through. I broke my pinky nail in my car door & it hadn’t even been a week. I wanted to cry because it hurt but also because I was at work for a few more hours before I went home. I’d tried bandaids as a splint, didn’t work🥺 Then it finally came off😭 After nearly a week

wow... She went through hell. My boyfriend came to see what happened as he thought I hurt myself and it was only a reaction on her poor, tortured, bleeding nail. But she kept strong and resilient. It actually was super cute once she started to re-do the reindeer. I was like,' oh she wants him back. She wants her reindeer back' 🥺. Excellent job. Also, I'm always leaving not enough of polygel in middle section as well, this is hard!

yikes. that looks so hurtful! After gluing the broken part, I would have nipped/snipped the extension shorter and then filed the top coat. SO that way when soaking in the glue-off you dont have as much hardened product to soak off.

OMG! PAIN! I've done this.....the pain was so intense....I was in the grocery store and jammed my nail on the shopping cart.....it brought me to my knees! The store workers had to go find band aids for me because of the blood! When you break a nail like this you never forget it! I am so careful now and try to always be aware of my nails and where my hands and fingers are! Maybe it's because we were in a rush....not thinking....I pray to god I never do that again! I hope your friend has healed and doing well now!

Never should you glue, perform ANY service or soak an open wound, ESPECIALLY when blood is present. Removing the nail/extension and allowing to heal before any service is performed...GREAT!

This is what I was thinking but how else would she remove it without soaking, just filing?
@jaywholoveseveryone1721
@jaywholoveseveryone1721 3 жыл бұрын
@@charlottel3158 She would clip the nail until it is removed/shortened. as far as the acrylic overlay, drilling/sanding is possible until it has diminished so tht the natural nail can breathe, grow and heal. The nail would just have to remain untouched until it has healed and grown out until 'free edge' is present. That is the sacrifice of healthy and natural nails with an acrylic overlay. I have seen severely infected fingers which required amputation of the fingertip to the first knuckle because of improper 'nail care' with chemicals by 'nail technicians'.

I did the same thing to my right ring finger a couple months ago, but mine broke further up and the tip was still connected to my hyoponichium😖. I put a bandage around my tip for stability until the next day when I could go into my salon. I filed the tip off with a sanding band, which was DIFFICULT to do on myself. Then I filed off as much gel as I could and put hard Gel on top to connect the pieces to work as a cast until the break grew out past my hyoponichium, which took about 2 months.

My acrylic nail broke through to my nail bed. It bled a lot. Idk what to do to fix it besides going to the salon. I ran cold water on them until they stopped bleeding. Put some neosporen on it and wrapped it with a bandage. If anyone has an advice I would appreciate it. ❤️ I ended up braking two nails. They both bled but only one went through to my nail bed
