Or never. Flipping a hammer is something my apprentices do casually by the end of their first month. These guys having to focus every molecule on the hammer just to awkwardly catch it is sad. And then adjusting aim after the flip is just bullshit - I'd say it violates the entire spirit of nagelbalken. Might as well not flip at that point, which is what we let the kids or uninitiated do as a handicap when we play.
