The warm, tropical influence of calypso and merengue rhythms can definitely be felt in Scapegoat.

I can listen to this entire album every time I have a smoke break. Recharged and ready to fight my boss.

I like how they slowed down during suffering soul and unsilent death. Gave me a chance to staple my face back on.

The start of this album hits you like a fucking train.

Whole album as long as an Opeth song.

When I first saw the cover, I assumed it'd be old school black metal or something. Reminded me alot of Triumph of Death by Hellhammer, and the over-exposed black and white colour scheme is a very black metal thing. Turned on the album and found out it was some of the most vicious powerviolence known to man. Fucking radical.

I fell in love in the first 2 seconds.

This feels so stimulating, and yet it makes all your anxiety melt away.

I like the radio pop influences on this album. Very creative.

It's good, but you can tell that they pretty much ripped off Maroon 5 with some of these riffs

All sarcastic comments aside this is a fucking masterpiece. It's heavy but not so much that it's comical and unlistenable, if you tone down the distortion and noise a bit it might even sound like a classic trash record. But the fact that it is that mix of classic sounds with more grit gives it a very dirty disturbing sound that I just love. First time hearing it and it's already one of my favorite metal records.

to everyone asking about this album being taken off spotify, i believe it's nothing more than a marketing strategy as this album turns 10 years old. I recently got into Nails this year, and the title track from this project is one of my most streamed songs of the last 6 months. I noticed the album missing from spotify, then I remembered seeing a post about album merch for the anniversary of it's release. I loved the album so much I ended up getting a vinyl, which I believe was their goal with the 10 year approach. No doubt in my mind that this masterpiece will return to spotify soon so let's just appreciate the art while we wait :)

lots of people joking like "sounds like Nirvana" saying that in a sarcastic way, but if you listen to tracks like "Scentless Apprentice" and "Milk it" by nirvana, you can hear there are some similarities, i'm not saying they're the same but they don't sound COMPLETELY different. I assume ppl are referring to the more mainstream stuff like Nevermind.

I will forever respect these guys for the amount of respect they show the Upstate NY Hardcore scene. The vocalist has the Stigmata logo tattooed to his forearm. Saw them and Xibalba in 2013 in Albany and they absolutely killed it.
