Thanks for the great tutorial! Did I understand correctly that you prep the nail with *both* sides of the 180/240 grit file? I'm always afraid to accidentally smoothen the natural nail or that it comes off faster 🥲 I'd be so happy to hear which grits last the longest. Thanks in advance to anyone answering 🍀🫶🏻

Hey. My question is, when you do the extension one by one and the hand goes in the lamp, on the other fingers the base cotes cures and cures. Is that a problem? Is there such a thing as over curing a base coat? Thank you!

hi, no, it isn't a problem, we don't keep it there for too long after all, and extra curing makes perfect)

Wonderful video but I am a bit confused...after applying the base coat why would you wipe off the tacky layer? Doesn't gel need a tacky layer to stick to? I have only ever seen the tacky layer removed once everything is done and before filing....

Those were not dry cuticles, aka dead skin, and every doctor will tell you that it's something that you don't do. Ever. Cuticles work as a shield so different bacteria cannot enter into our body. I have 4 doctors in my nearest family and every single one told me the same. You can cut, carefully, dry skin. But, as I've said, this was NOT dry, dead skin. That's the problem with so called "Russian manicure". Besides this , everything was extremely helpful amd informative. THANK YOU!!!

I'm watching this because I wanted to get extensions done. So in this case, can you go ahead with the procedure without removing the cuticle? Or is it mandatory to remove it?
@annagiotaki156
@annagiotaki156 Жыл бұрын
@@juniper10 yes it is .. if you dont remove the cuticles , lifting will occur. And yes , Dora , that;s true. but so does happen with hairs in our genitals , so does happen with sebum but some people like to remove them anyway. Besides , the human body is able to react this way and produce cuticles during sooo many years of revolutuion , but over the last one hundred years we have multipule sanitizing products , not to mention access to water so we can clean ourselves up , and OF COURSE most people getting russian manicures every month don't have deadly bacteria hanging around places they could touch on their daily routine . I dont think so.They are also gloves nowadays . What you;re saying is true but it cannot really affect humans and decrease their quality of life as long as the technician or the client won't expose any WOUNDS (if they are any) to bacteria. I would also like to mention that skin itself , unless cut or scratched , offers an incredible protections against all kinds of bacteria. That's why you'll have to pierce it for something to get through it. I hoped you learned something extra today..

@@annagiotaki156 Uf, thank you. I definitely feel less stupid and uneducated. I don't think you've got the point/you've completely missed it. Hairs and sebum are something totally different, but I'm not the one who will try to impose my opinion to others or try to, rudely, "educate" them. My biggest problem with cutting it is the swollen look. There's a channel called "The salon life", where Anna is giving great advice how to maintain your cuticles; she's more into the natural side of maintenance. I think those are the basics. But to each his own. I'm definitely won't argue over something so trivial like nails.
@DoraSometimes
@DoraSometimes Жыл бұрын
@@juniper10 I most definitely don't agree with Anna. If you take regular care of your cuticles, there won't be a need to cut them. As I've said, check the channel called "The salon life". She has some great advice.
