kunj m philip I currently have the MuSo qb 2nd generation and the Formation Wedge. What I can say off top is both are excellent high end speakers 🔊 the difference is the stage and bass. In my opinion and to my ears the Formation Wedge has a deeper bass and more low end that travels throughout the room filing up the space with sound. With the Qb 2 Generation the sound is cleaner and clearer but the sound is more boxy and has a smaller sound stage Han the Formation Wedge in my opinion. The Naim MuSo Qb 2 Generation also can play louder without getting distorted or struggle at the top end of volume. Whereas the Formation Wedge when you play it at normal levels will not distort however once you go into the 80% of volume it’s starts to distort and sound muffled. The sound signatures of both are different so it all comes down to taste, size of space, type of music you mostly play, and the volume you play music at regularly. I like both but I slightly like the Formation Wedge better because of the deep bad and fullness in sound which fills a room completely. I like the Naim for its clarity and sound quality for such a small box.. I am impressed with both actually come to think 🤔 of it.

Jonathan Barnes thanks for summarising. I saw you asked this question on some other reviews so glad you managed to compared the two. You have helped me out as I was trying to decide between the two and haven’t been able to get to a store to try.

@@the_fresh_one6462 I ended up buying both to be honest with you so I could have surround sound in my bedroom. It sounds amazing the wedge has slightly more bass and a wider soundstage but the Cube has more clarity and separation of sounds and instruments a little better so they compliment each other. If I had to choose only one to fill a room then I would go with the Formation Wedge if I could have both then I would get both for the clarity and instrument separation. Hope this helps you thanks 🙏🏾!

The 2nd Gen certainly packs more of a punch than the 1st Gen. 2nd Gen also has more functionality and comes with a remote. Overall it's a worthwhile upgrade due to the improvements.

How you compare it with the formation wedge??
@somakolcsenyi9572
@somakolcsenyi9572 4 жыл бұрын
Amazing stuff, hats off naim. Definitely not a party speaker, for that there are much cheaper and in this respect better alternatives. This one is for listening at low and moderate volume levels, and it excels at that. I also have a Riva festival which is really a great speaker especially considering its price tag. However when compared to the qb2 it sounds just muddy. The qb2 is expensive, yes, but listen to it for a while, it worths every penny. Could imagine a version without the fancy buttons and blingbling for say 30-40%less, would be a best buy that way either.

What’s the main difference between this one and normal muso?
@soundstage_hifi7724
@soundstage_hifi7724 4 жыл бұрын
The most obvious difference is the form factor, this Mu-So is shaped like a a cube where as the full size Mu-So is a rectangle, with all the drivers facing forwards. Both have the same functionality but the full size Mu-So has 450W compared to the 300W of the Qb. The best way to experience the difference is to visit your local dealer who should have both on demonstration, as we do.
