This series is about exploring Kumaon Region of Uttarakhand. We started our journey from Nainital, and visited Naina Devi Mandir, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths.

There is also boating facility for the tourists on the Naini Lake. The boating charges are Rs. 210 for two persons. Ample parking space is available for the private vehicles near the Naina Devi Mandir.
Our next stop was Kainchi Dham Baba Neem Karoli Ashram located just 17 kms away from Nainital. We also tasted rhododendron sharbat made of rhododendron flowers grown in the Uttarakhand region and purchased Nooni salt.
Thereafter, we explored Nanital food, and we tried Kumaoni thali at Anupam restaurant available at Rs. 250/- and then, we ate Jaleba at one of the oldest sweet shops at Nanital, Naini Jaleba Bhandar, where jalebi is made of pure copper utensil (Lota).
We purchased some hand-made candles at the market made of special wax that doesn’t melt even at high temperatures.
We also visited bhujiya shop to taste traditional namkeen and then also tasted Bun cream available at Rs. 10/ piece.
Ropeway is also available at Nainital with price Rs. 300/ per person. Not to forget the beautiful Sunset Set of Nainital at Naini Lake.
