As a former concrete and soil foundation inspector, the first video doesn't really sit right. Replacing a void with expansive foam where obvious compaction requirements were not ment, or groundwater has eroded a weak base layer can not be good. It seems more like placing a band aid on a ruptured artery. I'm far from an engineer so maybe it is a legit process. It is because I dont understand the requirements or engineering science behind it that I think it is a future disaster. But it seems like an action you can take to help sell a house and pass the buck to the new homeowners...You savage.

I feel like that foam would start breaking down pretty quickly aswell, all that weight on top and constant pressure of more weight (people, vehicles, snow etc) would speed up the process.

The first concrete video is pretty cool I’ve seen that system used before but the second is just what everyone does I wouldn’t consider it new or innovated but he did it with a flimsy piece of wood so the jointer wasn’t straight and the staircase could have looked tons better if he worked from the bottom up and vibrated the sides in and used sturdy wood and kickers so they wouldn’t move.. do not follow the guys method for reforming stairs

The cost of slab jacking is said to be $5-$8 square foot 🤔 doesn’t sound too beneficial🤷🏻‍♂️ but I guess with demo, compaction and new mud .

Anyone that uses steel trowels isn’t a good finisher or way behind in state standards ! The edger is only steel aloud unless u use a coarse enough broom in proper timing to reopen the muds surface !!! ACI

@Tru Quality Using steel seals the mud too much and can trap air in exterior concrete so when moisture freezes it has less space to expand so then your surface pops off 👍 along with over working the surface, weakens and can seal , need a ruff broom to hopefully reopen it

Технология интересная. А как быть с пустотами в которые не попала данная нивилирующаа смесь? Для парковок не годится. Или я что-то не допонимаю?

Пена не для таких мест. Там где водоотвод бетон не перемешан и слишком сухой - короче это плохая работа, но тут главное картинка) Лестница тоже вся пористая хоть бетон в этом случае и более жидкий. Но не достаточно хорошо заложен.

Why would you ever use mud jacking… there is a reason why that is happening in the first place is because the foundation is not sturdy and they didnt compact or use gravel; could have simply washed away.. for probably about the same price I would just get fresh concrete
