The only reason why Lucy and Natsu are getting closer is because a Queen mira; all hail Queen mira!

Honestly I think its just cause her growth is always overshadowed by others and that it was super gradual that we didnt feel like it was a power up. To put into perspective, in the first season or so, she was basically portrayed as useless without her spirits. Eventually she learned to fight with a whip. There was also that time that guy from blue pegasus had to help her perform a super powerful spell against Angel. She also learned out to force a gate close and summon 2 spirits at once. In the GMG arc, she cld open 2 gates like it was nothing, and perform that super powerful spell Hibiki(guy from blue pegasus) by herself with gemini. She wld have won that match against Blaze too if they didnt cheat. In the tarauros arc, she managed to summon 3 spirits at once. She also summoned the Celestial Spirit King by breaking Aquarius' key. Even the guy they were fighting commented that when his summoner runs out of magic, he will disappear too. Let me remind u that the king stayed for a WHILEEE. Im pretty sure it mentions somewhere (idr where) that Virgo and Leo take up more magic power than other spirits, so to summon the KING after summoning the two of them is an extremely impressive feat. Later in the finale season, we learn Lucy mastered her star dress forms and was even powerful enough to take on Brandish, one of the big 12 from zeref's army, which, is quite a big deal. Provided, Brandish admitted she wasnt trying 100% bc she wanted Lucy to win, but still, she held her own. Lucy also manages to perform one of the big three Fairy spells, Fairy Sphere, with the help of others. Before that, she even helps Natsu by rewriting the book of END, which was in demonic script. Admitted by Zeref himself, Lucy is quite extrodinay to be one of or possibly the only human to understand demonic script that well, much less rewrite it, and even less survive its darkness. I havent read the manga yet but according to other comments ive seen, Lucy also learns to combine her star dresses in the 100 year quest. A main reason I think that eveyone believes Lucy is weak is because her magic isnt as flashy or because from the start, she has simply been portrayed as the weakest member of Team Natsu. Since that first impression has already been implied, its hard to see Lucy grow as an individual wizard when everyone compares her to other members of the team. For sure, I doubt she's as/more powerful in combat as/than the rest of her team, but she definitely grew as a wizard and is powerful in her own right

I’ve actually just rewatched fairy tail from the start, I haven’t watched it 7 years so I thought why not, what made me really sad is I noticed in season 1 and 2 she had some good character building (as in combat and magic ways) and honestly was stronger then what she was in season 3, she cast more spells (urano metria, she summoned literally all the spirits at once, like she had a lot of magic power and potential) and then they just made her weak asf at the end of season 2 so it looked like she got more powerful in s3 when all they did was put her in skimpy outfits and made her more reliant on Natsu:(, like for example the first scene when Lucy and brandish take a bath and she “captured her by coincidence” because of allergies just annoyed me, and then the whole celestial outfits didn’t do anything, it would have been cooler if she could use some of the same magic from the spirits, I hope that in 100 years quest(when it’s animated cause I don’t read the manga) they try and give her more of a power surge, because as much as I hate to admit it she is the weakest person of team natsu, Wendy, a literal child, is stronger then her:(

@@undinebread3510I agree with most of what you’ve said, but I will continue my point, I still believe they portrayed Lucy as weak again in the 3 season, like there was so much character building and new things she learned, but none of those were portrayed in the third season which is sad, yes she performed fairy sphere, but she had to have help which annoyed me because she could have pulled it off , I really liked when they first introduced the star dresses, however I didn’t really see them as a power up, I honestly can’t remember her doing anything cool in them other then Aquarius’, they also never showed her summoning two or more spirits again, or urano metria, it was also kinda like they dropped everything from the first few seasons and started anew, i dont agree with the whole she could hold her own against brandish, brandish deadlines she didn’t want to fight her, and was gonna let her win so she could get out of the war, not simply because she wanted Lucy to win, she just didn’t have any other choice, also I recall Maria saying that brandish could have explaoded her insides before the fight begun, same with natsu, I’ll admit tho that was a good fight seen for her but there could have been more,I kinda also have a theory as to why Lucy is portrayed as “weakest member of team natsu” don’t forget that Lucy is the main character, and an author, at the end of the “final season” she wins an award for her novel, but what if the novel was simply about her adventures she’s had over the last couple of seasons? Therefore she would be writing herself as the main character and wouldn’t want to come off as “cocky” I guess i dont know what word to use, and also writing herself in that situation, I mean it’s like comparing yourself to you friends, your always gonna say your friends are pretty then you, but you don’t see how pretty you are yourself, but in Lucy’s shoes she doesn’t see how strong she is herself and so she writes herself in more of a humble way? Idk some wierd theory I have lol anyways hope you enjoyed my input😂🫶🏻

to be honest lucy improoved a craptone in the 100yq and was acknowledged by laxus and erza both but her abilities are just simply different than that of the other main charecter which makes her the weak link aswell as the drving force of the group she deffinately has grown a lot tho and besides every team needs a support who can watch their backs and lucy does that great so i think in the 100yq she will unlock even more potential
