As many of us are still shocked (!) of the new Machine Learning Amp Capture era, using the king of the available tech today : NAM neural amp modeler, here’s a little comparison of the .nam full capture reading into professional plugins, including NAM plugin itself, the recently updated GENOME from Two Notes Audio, and the now free Tonocracy plugin.
Here we are comparing only a full capture reading, no cab needed, no effects, no magic sauce, only the .nam reading.
My feel is that it’s quite the same cpu usage since GENOME can now offer to use .nam at mono like the 2 others (previously genome was more gpu intensive because of the stereo mode)
