In fact I should mention that I didn't want to do combat unless it was required to progress the story or unless I was far away enough to use either the bomb runes or arrows. Because I still have social anxiety even with monsters.

I also seem to recall that he doesn't leave her side while she's traveling and that when she mentions going to the heart shaped pond that means she must travel there and if he doesn't leave her side while traveling then that means they're having picnics at the love pond and observing everyone who comes seeking true love. I mean even if the argument that "it's not Link's house anymore because people don't recognize him or whatever else I've heard but can't think off the top of my head right now" is true...they're still close enough to do literally everything together. Granted I'm still playing Tears of the Kingdom because college made it impossible for me to play it when it came out and by the time I got it I wanted to finish my refresher playthrough of Breath of the Wild I had been working on so the whole story would be fresh in my mind but I've heard you can build a house in a different town and it's been used as an argument that Link doesn't live with her because of that. But honestly... when you think about it... if they're in the middle of rebuilding Hyrule from the ground up and he has the power to build pretty quickly with his powers... why not take advantage of that? Plus that's an extra place to sleep if you can furnish it. And honestly if I were Link and I had just lost my person, my LIFE PARTNER IN LITERALLY EVERY SENSE OF THE TERM, after everything we'd been through both together and apart, never mind the fact that he starts TOTK in a similar fashion to BOTW (in his undies with part of him missing!) I don't think I could handle being in our shared home for too long without them. Yes Link isn't prone to emotional outbursts but he still adores Zelda (whether as a friend or something more, it doesn't matter. You can tell he adores her in the way he acts around her.) but if getting her back is dependant upon his ability to keep pushing forward and he has the resources and ability to simply build another living space in a completely different area in order to cope? Why not?

Also when it says "he used to swear by a home-cooked pumpkin stew but now is a lover of meat skewers. This hints to twilight princess when link lived in ordon which had a lot of pumpkins.

Pumpkins also were big in SS, while Link made a LOT of campfire meat dishes in BotW. Vague reference to other games, sure, but also people’s tastes change over time. (And there’s a huge difference with admiring a Hero then becoming one. He grew a taste for meat, but got sick of green’s symbolism, yet latched onto Blue ‘cause it symbolized Zelda and the other Champions)

In Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, you can drink/eat pumpkin soup to regain health. Made by Link's Grandma, Yeto and the Lumpy Pumpkin respectively. (In Wind Waker, it's called Elixer Soup but it's completely orange suggesting pumpkin.) In fact, Nintendo released the recipe around TP HD's release.
