Namibia has some of the best food in Africa and a very good destination for meat lovers.
This video shows some of the best local restaurants in Namibia from Windhoek, Otavi, Swakopmund to Walvis bay.
It shows the traditional Oshiwambo or Oshivambo food and what locals eat in Windhoek.

Just a kind reminder: People speaking oshiWambo are Aawambo {singular would be mWambo, differing amongst oshiWambo dialects) coming from Owambo. A beautiful Bantu language. I unfortunately only have a very limited command of it.

Namibians love beef and biltong. Our food is one of the best and mostly delicious meals. I’m glad you enjoyed our cuisines. You have been to posh restaurants so you ate well no wonder you said you gained weight 😂

Yes I did gain weight 😂 biltong is very addictive and the way I’m craving for Kapana from the markets😩 the prices were good aswel

Kapana spot is mostly full on Sundays because of weekend hangovers 😂. Biltongs are our favourite snacks.

Personally, I prefer mahangu to millies (maize) pap, because of its innate, full taste and flavour. But hey, it comes at a price: 1. anyone chewing like other foodstuffs will realise the sheer amount of sand in in. Don't chew, just swallow smaller bits. 2. Hard to get it, outside the producing areas in the Namibian North. Good luck to find a shop selling mahangu.

The food looks so good! I heard that Namibia has some of the best beef because of the strict regulations on hormones and antibiotics. Then again, they have a small population and no shortage of animals, so there's no need to artificially boost meat production. I would love to visit the koi koi guest house, plz show us more from there if you can

Namibia export alot of beef to EU, US and China. Those are our biggest market including South Africa. We export more than we consume.
