Bro I - so let me start off with saying that when The Truth Untold first came out, just from listening to it I cried because you can FEEL the emotion in it but of course I am an intellectual (: and I looked up the lyrics, and I cried more. In fact, I cry EVERY time I hear this song. I am not kidding. Every single time I hear it. Why? Because even ignoring any specific ship, I feel strongly that this song is about not being able to reveal a part of yourself that is "ugly" to the world. To not be able to love someone because of this part you're hiding. For me that part is two thing, my sexuality which is still hidden and my depression that holds me back from loving fully. So I always cry. Truth be told (hehe get it?) I have seen this song as a Taekook song for a long time. I ship Taekook, Yoonmin and Namjin equally and in fact feel like any of them could be "real". The chances of the entire group of BTS (excluding Hobi, sorry bb) actually being not only gay but dating each other? Absurd. I do feel like there's a strong chance that someone in BTS is gay. Their support for LGBTQ+ is so strong and prevalent, Namjoon always talks about relationships in gender neutral terms! I feel like it's for the sake of SOMEONE in the group. Although maybe they just want to make a social change in Korea, it could be anything. Anyway about this analysis, amazing. I don't know if I believe it? But I want to? I had goosebumps reading through your explanation and the keen understanding you have for both these songs.... just a couple of days ago while going through the cover countdown of various BTS songs i discovered this particular video in which Namjoon was explaining few lines of his song Trivia.....while i was listening to the song later i had almost a heart stopping moment while reading the Korean lyrics and its meaning........! Yes ! Did you know Yoongi used the same play on words about sarang-saram when he wrote "people" ? If you replace people by love in his song we can easely understand he is talking about his personnal love story. Korean is such a wonderfull language for play on words. BTS's songs are full of them.

Just incase if you didn't notice, Jin looks very emotional in the live performances of The truth untold. I know he always sings in a really emotional way, but this really stands out from the rest. In one performance his voice cracks and he gets teared up in another. Maybe he knew Namjoon wrote it for him. Just a thought. Maybe it's just my imagination.

I’ve never seen anyone talk about the part in Trivia: love where Namjoon sings “wind, wind, wind” and then “pride, pride, pride” in Korean. He sings this part in the same pattern as when he sings the “Saram, saram, saram” and “sarang, sarang, sarang” part. The word for wind in Korean also ends in the square “m” letter and the word for pride in the lyrics ends in the circle “ng” letter. Im not sure what the wind part is about but in English the word pride is often connected to lgbt pride. Maybe I’m over interpreting this line or misunderstanding it’s meaning since I don’t speak Korean but this line could have another double meaning in English and Korean kinda like the “straight” part does. Also the line “my feelings are blue, blue, blue” could be connected to the references to blue/moonlight in the songs Moon, 4 o’clock and Moonchild. (Sorry for the very long comment)

During the Seoul Muster when they are sitting and Suga starts playing songs that the members have requested, Love is the song Jin requested. He said something aling the lines of he liking to listen to it cuz it made him happy. Suga asks Jin if it a song that he could fall in love to. Jin says "I am in love....... with Army" During the pause everyone was kinda holding their breath it was suspensful like was he actually gonna say it? When he said army everyone kinda let their breath out and chuckled. I also think he said something that Namjoom wrote a really good song. I believe everyone sang except Tae and when it was over Jin and Namjoon gave each other a hug. Jin had his embarrased like smiles and was so happy and really excited the whole time singing the song. ❤💜❤💜❤💜
