Winter NAMM 2018 delivered on its annual promise of gearheads, music aficionados, and top musicians for a four-day feast of exciting sights and sounds.
The crew at the Dunlop Booth were proud to play a part, and while we were there some very talented friends dropped by to sample some of Dunlop’s new gear for 2018-the MXR Sugar Drive, MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe Analog Delay, the Way Huge Pork & Pickle Bass Overdrive & Fuzz, Dunlop Strings, and more.
DAVID MAXIM MICIC is a guitar/keyboard player, composer and producer from Belgrade, SIMON GROVE is a session musician, educator, composer, and producer from Australia.

To be honest for me it looked like you were struggling a little bit with this guitar. These pickups didn't sound right for some strange reason. Still, love this song thou :)

I know his 6-string is tuned Ab Eb Ab Eb Ab Bb, but I'm not sure how he adapts that tuning to a 7 string.

Standard tuning for a seven string would be BEADGbe. So it’s he same as a six string but with an extra low B string.

I wouldn't take this as the best example. It's just a NAMM performance playing to a backing track. Listen to the original. This song is about expression, and not about demonstration. It's about giving space to the notes, because each of them matters. And David is genious at this.

He is flat-out my favorite artist ever live. I'll see him every single time he comes to Colorado. His instrument (particularly his wood guerilla) is an extension of his body and he completely commands it. The dude is incredible- don't judge based off a single KZfaq video of him playing a strandberg that doesn't seem to tonally jive.
