The journey up the Mountain Namsan begins by taking an elevator to the Namsan cable car which faces the Myeongdong neighborhood in Seoul. The cable car ride offers beautiful views of Namsan park and the city. The tramway was built in 1962 and is the first commercial cable car service for passengers in South Korea. Once at the top of the mountain there is a spectacular view of the sprawling cityscape and the mountains of Bukhansan National Park.
