Totally love NANA! It's my favorite anime along with Inuyasha. I feel like Ai Yazawa would have been Haichi. I enjoy your videos and am like binge watching now! XD Also fun fact if you didn't know. The reason why Viz wasn't able to license A Little Pain was because of Olivia's sample of Trine Rein's, Just Missed The Train. I was so sad that they weren't able to include it. T^T

Ah! Figured so! kind of why Inuyasha Lost rights to Inuyasha a little while ago and had to change their opening themes to *Unare Tessaiga!* Avex Was coming down on Viz on a few Anime OST it seems! lol And yeah i was so sad when it wasn't included in the US release ;_; And thank you so much! I'm glad you find them enjoyable! I'm sure the be some mistakes on my older videos as i was just starting out and very nervous. but when you spot inaccuracies please do let me know!

@@korichzz4649 The manga goes on hiatus after chapter 84. In the time I have been waiting for NANA to come back D. Gray-man came off of hiatus and went back on again and we're still waiting for the next GRRM book. Sadly, this is my favorite work and I would probably have given up hope if it was any other series.

From what i know ai Yazawa has recovered its just the deadlines to continue the manga may cause a flare up and is doing well and i only say reports of her returning because she is determined to keep drawing from her various works for cookie.

@@shizukagozen777 Tbh, I'm not upset. From what I know, the health problems may have been caused by her working on manga so I get it if she doesn't want to return. At the end of the day, we don't control her life and she does what makes her happy

Taylor Diaz No she is still alive, she was just sick for a long time and was hospitalized but was able to return home.

Shingles isnt a disease that you can just recover and its gone. Flare ups and intense pain are a constant issue even with medication and treatment.

I was bit dismissive of this theory until I actually looked her up. Yazawa attended a fashion school before dropping out, Nana K. attended an art school before dropping out. Her pen name is based off a rock artist she follows, more sign that she's the admirer rather than the person herself. Also when I watched Paradise Kiss and Nana you get the feeling that these stories can only be written by someone who experienced both seeing someone being taken away by men and being the person being taken away (but it's definitely the former). I think Ai is Komatsu but in her life it was Osaki who was the Komatsu in her life. Music is very important to her so maybe she watched a friend of hers drop her music career for marriage.

My daughter is named after Olivia Lufkin and her middle name is layla because reiras real name is layla. Funny enough my daughter ended up loving music and singing. She's almost 4 but lets see where this goes.

spoiler warning on rens addiction and death : it we never got visual confirmation that he was taking heroin . we saw him smoke weed and snort coke , but never any needles while his withdrawal symptoms impaired his motor functions , he crashed because he was speeding to get away from the paparazzi . he sped in heavy snow , which means icy roads could've been a factor too there was also some mention in a previous chapter with reira that he hadn't changed to his winter tires from his summer tires . even though the don't seem to mention that as a factor to his death in the chapters following chapter 77 , i don't think yazawa-sensei would've included that detail for no reason also , the fact that ren died in chapter 77 of all chapters .... unlucky sevens struck hard

Ren dying in the 77 is my Roman Empire. And when she talks about the hallucination is when Ren sees the black cat in his old house and sees Nana instead. That happens while he’s listening to Blast and seconds before his death

I hadn’t read the manga...I had only watched the show and thought it was dark, went to read the manga and I have depression. I had no idea ren was a heroin addict also had no ide that he died 😭 and to continue into the manga that scene in its self fucked up so many characters! I mean reira has literally lost her mind and somehow convinced herself ren is still alive! I can’t even...this manga is so fucking dark and to not even have an ending essentially...I feel like my life is spiraling...the anime I thought I knew and loved is so much more than what my mind could’ve even grasped when I was younger and watching it 😞

I think the anime is not about women choosing between love and career but more about how we just loose something to get something else and that pain of moving on is always there. We can't have forever, just the memories we make during the journey.

It's 2024, I first watched this anime in 2015 and I still can't move on from it. It's both a curse and a blessing because before watching NANA, I was a huge anime addict but after I watched i become way more selective in my animes because nothing feels the same. I miss the feeling I had while watching nana and can't seem to find it in any other so it kills the joy for me. Well, I hope one day this anime will continue 🤞

True!!! This pandemic made me rewatch and re-read the manga like 2 times (I've lost count of the total number by now). And I was thinking: out of all these people that lost their lives to COVID-19, how many where Nana & Ai Yazawa lovers..and now many have lost their lives, never to see the ending of Nana... that thought made me sad, even though I feel pretty weird for even thinking about this.

I'm french, when i was 10, i watched Nana on Virgin 17 (ex french tv Channel) and i bought my first manga NANA few years after... Since this time, i read a lot of Shojo, and mangas... But, even today, i just can't dethrone NANA in my Heart (others Ai Yazawa's works are amazing too) I don't feel confident, Ai Yazawa didn't communicate her real intentions... Like she didn't want to make a promise that she couldn't achieve. And i feel very sad when i think that... May be... I will never know the end of the story. After so many years of loyality, love and support from millions of fan around the world, we still don't know if we have to stop hoping or wait kindly. I feel... A little bit annoyed :/

Well it s not mention about some familiar place & stuff in Nana is real. Like Black Stone (with cherry flavor), the ciragette which Blast are smoke is real. And someone i forgot smoke Seven Stars , and Takumi smoke Ginates from France. You can buy it. And you know what, the bar name Jackson Hole, the place Hachiko, Shouji, Junko usually come in Nana is real with the cowboy decor exactly same in manga , at Choku, Tokyo. You can find photo of an actress who act Hachiko in the live action there. (Sorry for my English :p)

In Nana Episode 47 anime... When reuniting to see the fireworks festival in Apt 707, Nobu asks, "Hey where is Ren? Is he coming?" I read the manga and watched the anime over and over and never caught this detail until now.. Isn't Ren dead by then? Nana was pregnant when he had the accident and in this episode where Nobu is asking about Ren, Nana's daughter is already around 4-6 years old.

Clang Mendoza Interesting.. Where can I read that chapter? But on chapter 47 5:24 they are talking about Ren not a kid. Even Yasu says "the guy always marches to the beat of his own drum"

Im confused on why would ren not be nana Child though She was pregnant and you can see it ? Plus they look alike ren and Nana Mixed with Takumi lol

Hachi's first child was actually a boy, not a girl (remember they never confirmed with the Dr.) So little Ren (who is seen later with Takumi) is Hachi's son. Satchiko is Ren's little sister. If you read the manga it's clear. Yasu is referring to him like this because he seems to be a little too independent for his age. He even stayed in London with Takumi and Reira away from his mother, refusing to go back to Tokyo.

Soo the 47 episode is not the ending but the manga goes soo much through their life is that write. I also heard its the continued is there for ep 48

remaas Ali the anime has ended. and isnt likeley to return. however the manga was still going when the anime was finished and the manga is still ongoing as ai yazawa wants to continue as soon as shes feeling better

I'm sorry nana will always be the best out of any one of this...it just hit so different for me when I watch like like 4 years ago and have since watches it like 20x + now. It always gives the same feelings from the first time I watch it and I feel like I can keep watching it with out getting bored as well. Which is something I can hardly find in any anime now a days...I just wish the manga can be finish or maybe put it as a novel or something I also feel like Nana can have a reboot and it will be fine I could be wrong on that though.... however, I am happy that some company has decided to put Nana out in HD I have also head she is (or was supposed) to finish up nana...but like I said if she does not then I think there should be a novel or have maybe a fan ending for now or something like.some kind of temporary ending or something
