My beautiful parents as religious as they are. steeped in Sikhism didn’t get the connection between the spirit their minds their bodies. Praying everyday but no faith , full of fear and judgement. I fell upon this channel and now I am able to help my parents to truly I understand Sikhism as is should be. THANK-YOU

@@redblueyellowprimarycolors1801who said humans are equal to God,? We can describe humans but not God , bcz it's formless nd unimaginable, we are God means we are part of oneness means the creator is itself the creation, or creation is part of creator, so everything is part of God, either you believe god is separated from his creation or to haave to accept that it's all God and nothing is beyond or separate from God, Gurbani says God is like Ocean and we are drops we don't have our importance in oir own but we are part of it ,we will eventually merge in Ocean (God) Nd bcm God, we are separated but that doesn't mean we are entirely separated from God bcz nothing caan separate from God, everything is God, that's doesn't mean we have described God or we cn manifest God, it Only means wwe acknowledge it's presence in everything, and praising his creation, which includes ourselves as well

Aman A You have to understand that philosophy is not identical with spirituality. God created us with a free will. We can choose to be good or bad. Our essence is divine, but some people live a life, that is far away from their essence. They even kill people and invade other countries. Spirituality doesn’t mean to allow people to kill your family, friends and neighbors. Have spiritual people not the right to defend themselves? The Sikhs defended their people and at the same time they knew, that their enemies had the same divine essence inside themselves.

I don't understand Sikhism but this makes nothing but sense to me and wished I'd come across decades ago. It clears and clarify what oneness and universal energy really is. It's not just abstract God in the sky stuff and makes you feel like you belong and part of all at is Thank you for your insights in practical terms Eddie

I am fortunate to come across this vid... I always get reminded of the famous encounter of Guru Hargobind Ji with Samarth Ramdas... Once a Maratha saint, Samarth Ramdas during his rambles in Northern India, happened to meet Guru Hargobind at Srinagar in about 1634. Fully armed and riding a horse, the Guru had just returned from an excursion. "I had heard that you occupied the Gaddi of Guru Nanak", said Swami Ramdas. "Guru Nanak was a Tyagi sadhu - a saint who had renounced the world. You are wearing arms and keeping an army and horses. You allow yourself to be addressed as Sacha Patshah, the True King. What sort of a sadhu are you?" asked the Maratha saint. Guru Hargobind replied, "Internally a hermit, and externally a prince. Arms mean protection to the poor and destruction of the tyrant. Baba Nanak had not renounced the world but had renounced Maya, i.e. self and ego: "batan faquiri, zahir amiri, shastar garib ki rakhya, jarwan ki bhakhiya, Baba Nanak sansar nahi tyagya, Maya tyagi thi." These words of Guru Hargobind found a ready response in the heart of Samartha Swami Ramdas who, as quoted in Pothi Panjak Sakhian, spontaneously said, "this appealeth to my mind - Yeh hamare man bhavti hai".

Even I myself was bit confused with our confused percharaks who forgot about oneness and questioning each other and showing off that they are better than others and in that fight and arguements the consequences are our kids don't want to go to gurudwara sahib because these percharaks coming from India and actually taking away our kids from Sikhism by their actions. @@yourgassed6244 The first thing Guru Nanak taught humanity was that we are all same and alike, and none big or small, and no matter how much you bath in holy rivers, your sins cannot be washed away, by reciting Gurus words can redeem your sins, same way Guru Nanak Ji also said it is not how you look or wear what, it is your soul that needs to be true and pure, so yes styles of turbans is immaterial, often I have seen taliban wear similar turbans as sikhs do, this is why a Sikh paid with his life when he was mistaken for a taliban by an American who shot him after the 9/11 attacks on NYC world trade centre. That is why just by wearing clothes if you think you can be a pure Sikh, you can forget it man, a clown wearing a turban does not become a Sikh, purity lies in one's heart and mind, not in one's beard or turban, wearing certain clothes are for just an identity purpose, it is not needed today, as we have national armies, it was needed back then, A sikh is one who following the principles of Sikhism, that is all one needs and one need not wear a turban or support beard, unless you want to be so called Khalasa, which is the a sect or group of people committed to protecting the oppressed people whose rights are denied, Khalsa is a religious force to protect the weaker, hence they must be more prominent in their appearance.

Advaita Vedanta very nicely explained. Guru Nanak Devji was blessed. In ancient times we had philosophy (Advaita, Dwaita, Charwaka and then Buddhism and Jainism, Shivaism and Vaishnavi). In later times theology emerged as it faced challenge from world religions. Philosophy gave way to karma kand. But remember our seats of learning were destroyed in those times. Universities and gurukuls destroyed, Kingdoms and Temples which supported knowledge were desecrated. By 16th century Baba Nanak emerged and found people doing various religious practices but not realising the truth and as u know the rest is History. Wahe Guruji Ka Khalsa te Wahe guru ki Fatheh.

What you say you are experiencing is what I see to be the most awesome part of being able to learn. It doesn't stop with the first things you have learned. It's a part of it and you can expect more to come. I see this to be how we are able to recognize the truth and now I can see even more clear what it means that the truth is already inside of us. That's what gives me the desire to share with others. I need to come out of my box. The wall that I have built around myself to protect the most fragile part of who I am. Things that I have been working on require me to let others see me. Imperfections and all. It scares me but I'm willing to try. Or I may never see the changes I want for my life.

There isn't another nation where its people, across its entire land, seek the same truth through different ways of life brought to us by many different Gurus of our land. Unity in Diversity indeed.

it is no pantheistic exactly but panentheistic belief: Panentheism (meaning "all-in-God", from the Ancient Greek πᾶν pân, "all", ἐν en, "in" and Θεός Theós, "God")[1] is the belief that the divine pervades and interpenetrates every part of the universe and also extends beyond time and space.

I used to find watching Satpal's video a bit ..'spooky', it was as if he was reading my posts. Then I realised that we both speak with the same voice..Satpal and Harpal ( my real name). When I was younger my Sikh grandfather told my parents to ' let him find his own path'. I am a didicoy..half Gypsy half Punjabi..though I was brought up surrounded by Sikhi and their ethics I was also brought up by fairground gypsies. I grew up as a christian but by the age of 12, having been to Israel, I began to question it. I dove into science and dropped religion. By my early 20's I became fascinated with ancient history and this led me to the Sumerians and then on to Hermetic knowledge. With hermeticism I had come full circle...it sat well with modern physics..in fact ALL our modern science derives from hermetic thoughts. Then I turned back to Sikhi and saw that here was the bridge..a way to connect hard science with the Divine. Sikhi was born in the age of enlightenment..it was a Renaissance that blossomed in the age of reason. It is THE TRUTH. Ik- There is ONE(Ik) reality, the origin and the source of everything. The creation did not come out of nothing. When there was nothing, there was ONE, Ik. Onkaar- When Ik becomes the creative principal it becomes Onkaar. Onkaar manifests as visible and invisible phenomenon. The creative principle is not separated from the created, it is present throughout the creation in an unbroken form, 'kaar'. Satnaam- The sustaining principle of Ik is Satnaam, the True Name, True Name.EXSISTENCE Kartaa Purakh- Ik Onkaar is Creator and Doer (Kartaa) of everything, all the seen and unseen phenomenon. It is not just a law or a system, it is a Purakh, a Person. Nirbhau- That Ik Onkaar is devoid of any fear, because there is nothing but itself. Nirvair- That Ik Onkaar is devoid of any enmity because there is nothing but itself. Akaal Moorat- That Ik Onkaar is beyond Time (Akaal) and yet it is existing. Its a Form(Moorat) which does not exist in Time. Ajooni- That Ik Onkaar does not condense and come into any birth. All the phenomenon of birth and death of forms are within it. Saibhang- That Ik Onkaar exists on its own, by its own. It is not caused by anything before it or beyond it. Gurprasaad- That Ik Onkaar is expresses itself through a channel known as Guru and it is only its own Grace and Mercy (Prasaad) that this happens. Ikoaʼnkār saṯ nām karṯā purakẖ nirbẖao nirvair akāl mūraṯ ajūnī saibẖaʼn gur parsāḏ. One Universal Creator. The Name Is Exsistence.Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred.
