oh my god, no, i'm feeling similar to you too! I've been dealing with very mixed complicated feelings about his monologue ever since it aired and every time i rewatch, I understand it better but lowkey still pisses me off so no, we all struggling here!

I have, plenty. But still it pisses me off how he word it.

This was already confirmed by the writers but yes, all that has heppened within the four season has happened in less than a year. At the start of season 1, they were in 2019 however (finally) 2020 has been reached with the most recent jump in 4x01. They also confirmed there is gonna be an episode this season deticated to the 1-year anniversary of Kate's death. I know it's seems long but it's truly insane to think this has happened one thing right after the other but yeah, it is what it is.

That is what I've been saying! I don't know if he somethings lets his own feelings and grief blind him but it is just annoying how he manages his situation with his daughter knowing perfectly that she is also dealing with her loss. And now, apparently so, she is ALSO grieving the lost-yet-not-recovered love from her soulmate.
