Biblical theology changed my life about 5 years ago. Unfortunately the Christians I am in contact with don’t discuss it at all. So finding Bible teachers like Nancy Guthrie and Jen Wilkin have been vital to my walk and I am so thankful these messages. ❤️

The real beauty of it "not being about us" is how very liberating it really is! When we leave the ball where it belongs, inside of GOD'S court, we relieve ourselves of a cross with our name on it and trade it for a cross with the LORD'S Name on it. Take MY Yoke upon you.Somebody SHOUT! I'm preachin!

This is the Bible literary plot:A. textual opening: the Creation. B. First Adam. C. Original lost paradise. D. Congregation of Israel. E. Climax: passion and death of Jesus Christ. Turning point: E'. Resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. D' Christian congregation. C' Restored paradise. B'. Last Adam. A'. Textual closure: New Creation. This literary structure is a chiasmus ABCDEE'D'C'B'A'. I wrote ten books on this theme. Kind regards from Mexico.

It's not complicated. The only thing that really ultimately matters, the one-ring that rules them all, is obedience to the King, the one who establishes the 'law' in the Kingdom and ultimately executes justice in accordance. You pursue, with all the serious intent you can muster, keeping all His commands and eternal life is yours: you're a citizen in good standing in the never-ending Kingdom. Or, you don''t and perish. Everything else is really non-essential, though other things may be quite enriching. But, you cannot get this one wrong and have the hope of heaven. This is the one overarching theme of the Bible, and the understanding of it is what I would call King and Kingdom theology.

Oh man... Kudos on being faithful to the call God put in you, but do you think you struggle with pride? The words you have spoken were neither edifying nor encouraging in any of your comments. Sometimes we have good theology and even good intentions, but the enemy gets the better of us and we tear our brethren down.

WHAT?? TEN BOOKS??? ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE EVEN A CHRISTIAN! YUK! THIS IS THE PROBLEM OF BEING IN ACADEMIA TOO LONG. YOU BECOME SO ARROGANT AND YOU CAN’T EVEN SEE IT A TINY BIT…. YOU ARE TOTALLY LIKE THE ELITES WHO ARE COMPLETELY DECEIVED AND BECOME FOOLS, WHEN THEY PROFESS THEMSELVES TO BE WISE. THIS IS WHY I HAVE COME TO HATE READING COMMENTS…. INCREASINGLY REALIZING IT’S A WASTE OF MY TIME, ESPECIALLY WHEN I FEEL COMPELLED TO REPLY …

Teaching by women intended for women only involving any doctrine (this talk did not involve any doctrine) should be in a separate channel. And there should be no doctrinal teaching by women to both men and women in the main channel. I have also commented that talks such as how people can find peace should not be part of your feed for this reason but also for other reasons - Jesus only spoke as one offering to meet the needs of people when speaking one to one and when the person already knew that they were a sinner. I believe that at the heart of biblical prohibitions regarding women teaching and having authority over men is the issue of gifting in respect of issues of the interrelationship of doctrine and also pastoral discernment. That's why I have said above that talks which involve the interrelationship of doctrines fall over the boundary line but this one does not. There was a thread here in which I participated and expressed views which were harsh because they were in error which has been deleted. I made unfair comments to a man named Mason. I want to at least add my acknowledgement of wrongdoing and apology to him here since the thread is now gone. I also encourage TGC to direct their web content not to presenting a biblical view of various life or current issues but to direct most energy towards building the framework described in this talk which will equip people to handle any issue and most importantly to understand that it is from God's perspective not ours that issues either matter or don't matter. I also hope that someone in the UK will be the first to entice Nancy Guthrie over here and that they will start a chain of engagements for her - I believe that we are sorely in need of the information in this talk.

@@brotherandrew3393 1 Corinthians 11:4-7 Every man who has something on his head while praying or prophesying disgraces his head. But every WOMAN who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head, for she is one and the same as the WOMAN whose head is shaved. For if a WOMAN does not cover her head, let her also have her hair cut off; but if it is disgraceful for a WOMAN to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her cover her head. For a man ought not to have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God; but the WOMAN is the glory of man. COVER HER HEAD
@brotherandrew33933 жыл бұрын
@@GodlessGubment You are not very good in reading the scripture you are referring to: 1. "while praying or prophesying" She is not doing this. 1. Cor. 11 is talking about the behavior in church service. Nancy Guthrie is not speaking in a church service. She is presenting a topic in a workshop. 2. "Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering." (1 Cor. 11:14 -15) The cover of a woman is her hair. 3. Is Nancy Guthrie part of your church? I guess she is not. Do you have any position of church authority to correct her as her pastor or bishop or something similar? I guess not. So I think you are just a bad informed bible-verses-out-of- the-context-picker who wants women to shut up. You can live that kind of "tradition" in your church if the leaders of your church are following your interpretation. Nancy Guthrie does not depend on you. Your problem.
