Somewhat off topic, but it's been over a decade since I actually played an RTS. The most I've done is watch you guys casting these games, and the occasional ladder sessions that Jeff has had. Recently I started playing Supreme Commander FAF, a game completely unrelated to Starcraft. I expected to be the equivalent of Wood League for my early games, but surprisingly enough, I'm doing fairly well. It turns out that watching you guys actually seems to have taught me some fundamental RTS strategy and mentality, because I find myself remembering a lot of the points (rants) you lay out whenever players inevitably mess up, even though it's a completely different game. I can also sympathize with some of the players, because after playing a particularly intense game, I went back to watch the replay, and after seeing the full picture of what was going on, this epic game became the equivalent of a drunken hobo brawl. In short, RTSs are fun, need to play more.

Yeah, I agree - I noticed that playing C&C back in the day. Some of the strategic insights are just generally applicable across all RTS; I never played SC2, but watching it bumped up my playstyle significantly.

I’m surprised the Zerg didn’t try mass queens with a mineral rich economy and 4 hatches. Dragon cleavage would’ve faired much better against Zealot/Archon. But going mass ling with no speed nor upgrades, maybe not that surprising?
