People say you wouldn't use such a light too close to talent/actors, so the fan noise isn't an issue - but people have been using M18 HMI's for book lights in interview setups for more than a decade, and that light is 2-3x more powerful than these. Controlling fan noise should really be the top priority for LED manufacturers these days...

The connector points of the Aputure unit on the top and the bottom is to be a safer trip hazard. If one cable is pulled it will pull the direction of the connector. If 1 of the 2 cables is pulled on the nanlite it could bend the pins in opposite directions.

Can you use 2 FS 300 to approximate one Forza 720? It is much cheaper that way if you don't need the fancy features. You can get 4 FS 300 for the price of one Forza 720

Wath is the wattage in the controler box in forza 720? Because the 600D is actually 720W... I Guess forza overclocks over 800 or 900 I Guess?

Overall Aputure still is the better option. Better build quality, more flexible and reliable App. No wonder the vast majority of rental companies choose Aputure over Nanlite.

Which batteries did you use on the light?

Putting the Nanlite reflector on the 600d does not lead to comparable results. The Dish is optimized for the Nanlite head which has a different placement of the cob than the Aputure. No one is going to use the 600d like that any way. You should have compared the two with their respective fresnels. Comparing Nanlite's own numbers to the one's I have measured myself with the 600d, the 600d wins. But that doesn't mean the 600d is brighter, only that it has a better optimized modifier. I'm sure the Forza 720 would be brighter through a 5 foot Octa. Given that the 600d is water resistant, and has crmx built in, ... are other reasons for picking it over the Forza 720. You have to consider who is going to buy it, how it's going to be used ....etc before making snap judgements on which light is better

TLCI and CRI scores are basically useless. Use TM-30 scores with the circular graph and post the spectrum graph of the light so we can really see how it performs. SSI scores are OK but a single number doesn't tell me where the spectrum diverges from the Planckian or Daylight curve.

At this stage in the game no bi color is a no go. Who wants to gel lights anymore :)

The 600d pro is superior to this nanlite 720 in so many ways . Build quality for one . The build quality of the aputure 600d pro is way beyond the nanlite 720 .I'd bet color rendition is better on the 600d pro as well. None the less I like the Forza line for it's compact size for on the go carry . Ability to be used as an overhead light with boom pole . Also if I want a different type of look on skin tones and that is it . Aputure I'd say produces more of a natural realistic skin tone look. They are not same look on skin .nanlite 300 500 and 720 have louder fans than Aputure line . Aputure 600d pro and new 600d case is bigger than the nanlite Forza line but aputure build quality way way way better . That I do know for sure . Where does build quality come into play ? If something goes wrong with your light you will be waiting for weeks or months to get a replacement thru warranty .things to deeply consider when paying this much money for any gear .

Hi I thought Aputure 600D cannot reach 100% power with V-Mount batteries.
