NanoLeaf Lines - Setup, Review and are they worth it?

You know me...I like RGB. So when NanoLeaf reached out asking if I'd like to give their new Nano Leaf Lines a try....I was all for it. In this video I go over their installation and features to find out if the hype is real. 1st of a kind Thread Border Router, Screen Mirror, Music Visualizer, Google Home, Apple Home Kit, Amazon Alexa Compatible... You name it....These lines are top of the line when it comes to RGB Lighting.

Hey, I designed the Lines :) You can get rid of the slack on the cable of the nanoleaf lines flex linkers by looping the cable inside the caps. I you loop it through one cap you get a bit less and if you loop it through both you should only have 3 inches or less. Thanks for your feed back and review :)

yheeee its not worth 199. I know for a fact ( buddy work there ) that the production cost is around 9 USD, total cost to get inside US is 22 USD. The original price was actually planned to be 79 for 7 panels. But they hired a new team of marketing and pr youngsters that said.. " Just put it out for 199, people will buy it anyways" And like everything else materialistic in this world..We sure do. Im pretty sure they would could even sell it for 249, and pushing out " ON SALE FOR 199!!" frequently to lure more customers.

just 3d print hose and use ws2812b leds and wled. works just as well, but is a lot cheaper. 5m hoigh quality leds are less then half the price of tthose nanoleaf ones.

Dude did you ever draw that s shape thing in school you would do like 3 lines on to and 3 lines on the bottom then you attach them with lines and it would look like a box s shape and I feel like you can do it with those but no one has done it, you actually kinda did do it I just noticed after righting the first part but if it was just one part the center part of yours is kinda what I'm talking about

Yeah I can understand that for sure. They are nice and have all the bells and whistles but it’s definitely a high price for a lot of people.

I cant get the augmented reality thing to work for some reason. I can use the layout assistant in the app but there is no option to "see" it on my wall in augmented reality like you do in the video here. Camera permissions are there. Very odd.

My nanoleaf app doesnt have virtual reallity feature? Do you know anything about that?

It’s only available on the Desktop Application. Its called “Screen Mirror” and it’s located within the “Entertainment” tab on the left side.

@@GRJOHN360 yeah that’s the layout assistant. Tap the 3 dots on the bottom right of the app and you’ll see it there. It might require a phone with the AI capability though.

Yeah good call out. I’m using 4 power supplies. Pretty much each 9 segment section has its own controller and power supply.

Your design looks amazing but, if it's $200 for 9 segments and, you have 32 segments (if I counted that right), doesn't that mean your setup cost you more somewhere to the tune of 600?

I mean.. if that math is correct then, it isn't really "Is it worth the cost of $200" because you'll need WAY MORE to create a gorgeous design like yours. It's your channel but, I feel like it would be more helpful to show potential buyers just the 9 pieces that you get for $200 installed on a wall. Either way- thanks for taking the time to review them and post a video. Your setup is really dope.
