Nice video. Very helpful. I would only change the part where you hold the glass display down. You can gently lift and the multi-directional toggle button will pop off and you can leave the glass display in place since it’s taped in. The multi- directional button is just press fit and not glued and goes back nicely with gentle pressure.

so the little dpad actually pops off. you don't need to hold down the plastic screen to keep it from breaking. you can pull the dpad directly up and it will come off allowing you to take off the screen. it's a good point to take it off and add a screen protector film if you want.

Not an easy mod to do, but it took me about 90 minutes to do. Just take your time, and follow the directions to the tee. Everyone here needs to put their big boy pants on and give it a go.

Would you be willing to do this mod for a price? You should consider it. I mean people send in their controller and you send them a modded controller. Two prices. One for converting and one for those that send in a core.

I'd put a bit of Loctite blue on the threads of the antenna nuts. Hate to have them come loose.

Now all you need is a battery that can keep up with the range that this mod gives, gonna be impossible for now.

So the connector on the inside of the controller on mine broke and I almost lost the mavic. Turns out I can't find replacements with the wire coming out of the side anywhere. so I made my own with regular straight cable and dremeled a hole in the side and soldered coax to the pin .but never soldered antenna wire before, kind of nervous.... be a stupid way to lose an expensive drone over cheap cable replacement. if I could find them anywhere I would buy a bunch. One site had them for like $50 which is insane and the other one on eBay was $4.99 but probably will take 8 months to come from China. So I dunno what to do.

What are the ribbon silver looking cables that come out from under the lcd screen? They are attached to the front panel as well?? When you took your front panel off I didn't see them on yours
