Naoki Urasawa and Mai Yoneyama. This is pure gold! I love it when artists genuinely come together and gleefully talk shop. It’s so inspirational! Like when Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima collaborated. Urusawa-san’s line art is so emotionally free and dynamic. Yoneyama-san’s line art is so precisely detailed and clean. IPluto’s story, characters, and art styles was terrific.

It’s perfectly in line with his style of storytelling. Monster is a perfect example of the fine details in a character’s face, posture etc telling a huge amount of the story. The dialogue is still brilliant, but it becomes the stitching that holds everything together rather than the centerpiece

As an artist myself too, I teared up a little bit at the end. The passion and love to draw and to be a storyteller is so much fun, I always enjoy watching other people having fun while drawing, and they had great smiles on their faces. I came across Urasawa's work at a vulnerable time in my life and his love of life itself and art inspired me a lot. It's incredible to be able to see him converse with Yoneyama, another artist I have admired for some years. Her attention to detail is exquisite... Thank you for this video and the translation so that it can reach everyone, I enjoyed it very much. I will watch this video more times in the future

I always love hearing Otomo Katsuhiro getting his props. There really is no understating how influential on so many levels and in so many ways Akira was and still continues to be. I could also watch and listen to these two all day, just a joy to see masters at work and talking about what they love. Now if only Netflix would commission as perfect an adaptation for Billy Bat as they did for Pluto... one can dream.

I am quite envious of how the artist was able to keep up their passion and drew every detail with every effort they had. unlike me, my situation was different where I was required to forget that passion in order to survive the life though it feels like I was forced to forget that dream because there are a lot of opportunities better than that and it needs sacrifice where you eventually give it up for just because of how unfortunate my situation is. even now I still long for it but the passion isn't there anymore. I was hoping to bring it back even though it might take a lot of years again because I already started before even though it's only midway.
