One day KZfaq looked at me and thought in its algorithmic depths: "Hey, do you remember the days music wasn't just background for you, when you listened and not just consumed whatever electronic mix is on?" And it set your Blue Note live up high in the recommendations. Couple of days later I'm still listening, I hope in a few years I'll still be here and maybe even on your live show. Great, just great.

How am I just finding Nao Yoshioka in 2023?!? Her and the band are so slinky and cool. The rebirth of slick. I haven't heard anything this funky and smooth since Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings! I just bought the Philly EP! It's gonna be in heavy rotation! DAMN, that looooong note!!!! FIRE.

My age is mid 60s. For some reason I really got into Jazz, Funk and Soul in my 40s. Some of the women entertainers I like are Sade, Diana Krall, Candy Dulfer, TOKYO GROOVE JYOSH the and list goes on... But NAO YOSHIOKA just stands out . Most of the bands and people NAO performs with are super explosive then add her controlled beautiful voice to the mix its just WOW, WOW, WOW...

Great song !!! Love the organ playing ! During the guitar solo, gee hi provided all the richness needed for the guitar to shine !!! Great work on the drawbars !!! But man the rythme section is so tight !!! An absolute necessity in funk music !!! Great guitar solo, great progression !!!

I LIKE it ! D Angelo meets Miles Davis (without the trumpet !..🙂) As a bass player, I would LOVE to play with this drummer ... All the rest of the band is just smocking... And the singer just great. Nao: Just had to mention, your ability as a singer is equaled and surpassed with your ability to move on the stage. Very few....in fact none can sing as you do....and dance to the beat...as you do...all the time. You are superb!...as are da boyz in the band tonight! Great combo! Even without the incredible horn section that sometimes accompanies you! And Jun's keyboards are, as usual, incredibly sweet, as your voice!❤

There is so much air In this interpretation that it really breathes. A huge dynamic range with very small overall volume. This is a great skill. It is really difficult to create energy and vibe with such limited means. Great temptation to play a lot of notes and do it bright and loud. But here it turned out to keep the balance and the song sounds great: clean, transparent and breathing.

Dang I just mindlessly put this on and didn't bother to watch it. I was diggin on the groove then I heard the voice I went to watch and did not expect her to be...Japanese. I am now a subscriber 😁 BTW the bass player looks and sounds like Pino Palladino 😁 She got her chops down, you can still when she uses her hands to emphasize her phrasing.
