The beginning of blast beats - no triggers, all wrists and he still included that legit skipping punk beat ("D-Beat") on the slower parts. He was a friggin pioneer. \m/\m/

The most solid and powerful guitar tone was on "Harmony Corruption" album this song is from. One of the best death metal records in terms of sound, in my opinion. You can feel it on this live recording as well.

Spent a memorable evening sharing laughs with this line-up at a Cathedral gig (in the Campbell in Cov - lots of Kiss covers, oddly). Shane spilt my pint and bought me a replacement - nice chap. Sadly that's probably my only 'metal claim to fame, but a happy one.
