I had just become a ride operator at one of the Six Flags park near me., In NJ. One of the rides I operate is the Frederick Savage--- Patrina Williams Carousel, built in 1881.

I would add the Merry Go Round Museum in Sandusky, Ohio to visit. We have a Hershel Carousel to ride, and many animals from the different carousel companies to view. We have all 3styles to see, and we try to change the display every couple of years. Thanks for your video with good information.

Alan Herschell, Herschell-Armitage, are not mentioned and Alan Herschell Tonowanda, NY was the man that made the first caorousel in the USA that turned without the horses going up and down and decided it would be more fun if the horses went up and down. He also made Kiddyland rides and things- the first to do so! He laso created merry go rounds with cars going around.
