I grew up in the country in Georgia. This song and the comments really bring back great memories of me and my cousins running around in the woods, climbing trees, making forts, going fishing, throwing rocks on the gravel roads, eating whatever the seasonal fruit right off the trees, watching my granddad and my uncles field dress and smoked hogs in the fall....oh those were simpler times...the good old days. Also poor was poor, regardless of race. The poor whites and blacks seemed to have gotten along great because they had a lot in common.

I live in Taylorsville and I remember when they filmed this. The girl who says "I just love kentucky" is Sydney Martin. I graduated with her. I saw them make this and man it's crazy how times have changed. Alot of people in this have passed now. The mechanic he stands next to is Ricky hall and he just passed last year from covid. The blue bridge they stand on is gone now. I miss the old days and I'm glad I can come here and see it still somewhat.

Growing up broke makes you innovative, creative, and resourceful. Don't let these fake ballers convince you it's easier to be rich because even the Bible says it's easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle before a rich man gets into Heaven. It's ok to have wealth but put God first and do for others. Don't let material possessions *the THINGS you have* become all that matters to you!

Exactly! I live in a small town in southwest Texas. We dont see color here. We were all brought up learning to respect each other. Nothing like growing up in a small close knit community. We all been down/poor and share the same experiences!

Yup. Honestly I think Anthony and Jazze would've been great hook vocalists for Nappy Roots instead of just being featured artists
