I agree with you Owamie. Most people on tik tok kept coming for Onezwa saying the recipe is different what not and she’s not the first person to do anything etc. People missed the fact that Onezwa was concerned with the pattern of creation gore like you said, she makes mozzarella today, 2 days later Nara’s family “craves” something with mozzarella, she makes Boba Tea today, the following fay Nara miraculously craves boba (that doesn’t fit on a straw) 😂 So thats where Onezwa’s main concern was. I feel like they were quick to judge and come at Onezwa without understanding her line of thought. Don’t get me wrong, both are talented creators and they are definitely not the first to make anything like Onezwa said. But a little credit like you said Owamie would have been the best approach for Nara.” So i was thinking of ideas of what to do next and I came across a talented creator Onezwa who made Boba and i decided to also gather inspiration from that and other creators to make Boba myself since i also like it… “ so Nara and her family bone mostly “crave” and run out. And then make from scratch 🤷🏾♀️ going to the store isn’t normally something mentioned.!Personally i feel Nara at times isn’t realistic. Making toothpaste because you ran out, im amazed at how they casually have all these ingredients in the house to make all these things…. There is nothing wrong with saying “ I saw a recipe online of making Toothpaste so today i want to try that out at home…” Side note: I saw that another creator also made lollipop 6-6-24 before Nara made one recently (not saying she copied her but im not saying she didn’t either) Lucky goes in a trip and Nara makes lollipops too, ones with gum obviously (for variation). The same creator, talented for that matter, is known for also making things from scratch and she even tells a backstory or a little history of whatever shes making, very unique if you ask me. The day Nara and her husband ran out of lotion or cream ( I stand to be corrected) , days if not weeks prior this creator le ene made body butter lotion… (again im not saying shes the first person to make it) but its just coincidental how Nara’s videos come immediately after these other creators’ work…without credit of inspiration…. Oh yahh her name is Nzila Miyoba. Both Nara and Onezwa as well as Nzila are talented in their own right… but i feel we should give credit where its due…. All that is entirely my observation and opinion. Meaning you can agree or disagree, respectfully of course.

I appreciate this comment because I was initially irritated by her completely going from speaking like a valley girl, to speaking in the same monotone voice that Onezwa uses and stealing her recipes but her pattern of following what onezwa creates is even worse, and far more diabolical.

Colorism is jumping out from a lot of black women with this one. From the desperation to claim Nara Smith who is not South African (and even if she was, she does not have the same cultural experiences as us and we will never have the privileges she has due to her being mixed race so attaching our identity to hers is just weird), to intentionally misunderstanding what Onezwa is saying simply because we cannot fathom a rich, mixed race woman stealing from a black woman (which by the way is how non black people get away with stealing and committing crimes against black people - we are programmed to always believe them). It's okay to be a fan of Nara's but most of us are acting blind to what is really happening here. The fact that she denied knowing Onezwa alone should be enough reason to try and understand what Onezwa is saying because why did she have to lie?

Nara's content never made sense for her lifestyle amd where she lives, that's why I never watched her. Her content always felt performative. For onezwa being a woman living in slightly rural circumstances it makes sense that she would make everything from scratch. Also, why is Nara's husband always in every video and topless at that? What does that have to do with cooking.

Owami this reminds me of a situation where a child tells older people that someone did something to them, then the adults accuse the child saying how could you, that adult could never do that to you, they are such a good person. Nara was tagged on that post and left that comment as an encouragement to Onezwa. Doesn't it seem suspicious that she deleted the only video where Nara recognized her? 4. Can someone explain to me why South African content creators don't get paid on Tiktok?
@user-xk9sx9tx7l6 күн бұрын
Boba tea content goes as far back as 6 yrs ago o even further... so both ladies stole content if we wanna talk about who made it first. Until someone invents something new and unique and has never been done by anyone in the world then we can have the discussion of who stole what from who. There is an actual trend which is normal on social media of creators making the same things at the same time... we the audience then decide who did it better and follow that person more. If you want to be in a competitive market you cannot be a cry baby... if the kitchen is too hot and someone else does something u do better, then step out the kitchen. Like she said she would not have had an issue if Nara was not paid. But she has an issue because she is not paid because of the county she stays in . All content creators do the same things and get paid according to the coutry they stay in.
@LangelihleNgema6 күн бұрын
Exactly,how is it Nara’s problem that Ticktock does’nt pay SA creators?
@hermiamalungane79526 күн бұрын
But Boba tea was just an example, she is talking about a pattern of someone stealing her ideas. She is hurt about it and knows that there is nothing she can do, cause vele what is she gonna do with her less that 1m followers?. And from her statement she is not mad at the lady, she is is just dying for recognition of her hard work.
@hermiamalungane79526 күн бұрын
And us slow learners think that this whole thing is about tea, it's not about tea, but about her ideas getting stolen.
@user-xk9sx9tx7l5 күн бұрын
@hermiamalungane7952 she herself stole alot of other people's receipies. Peoples receipies methods of cooking are also content and if you are not the first to cook that meal, then you have stolen content. Is she crediting them in each of her videos? Did she credit the first content creator of Babo tea? No she did not. Nara is not the first person she is doing this to just by the way...
