This is what depression would be if it was a fragrance. Almost as if it was an artistic physical representation of it. It gives off a very melancholic and grey feel. The color just ties it all together. It’s like feeling depressed in a busy rainy city but somehow being able to turn that into something beautiful.

I would put it in my top 10 masculine perfumes of all time. Amazing stuff.

I only smelled this perfume once or twice at a retail store and I swore then that I would get myself a bottle... Then I forgot about it, thanks for the reminder Mitch. I am going to start my search for it and get me this beauty...

I would describe Narciso Rodriguez For Him EDT as something like a wet cement scent or an exposed aggregate sidewalk which has just been rained on in combination with aromatic cucumber and musky patchouli. To me, both Amouage "Portrayal Man" and "Bracken Woman" have a similarity with it in their own respective ways, but mostly having to do with the musky patchouli aspect of them. I like Narciso Rodriguez For Him EDT a lot: it's one of my favorite fragrances, and I stocked up on it about two years ago when I first heard that it's discontinued. However, I unfortunately didn't get a bottle of the EDP when it was still very affordable and available (I never even got to try the EDP). I'm under the impression that some of the last bottles of the EDT which were sold by discounters might have a leaky collar. I ended up with two which had a leaky collar, but only a very small amount had leaked out. I kept them anyway, and I'll gladly use them up. Also, I wouldn't describe the EDT as depressing. Rather, I'd describe it as gentlemanly, somewhat classic-leaning, and something for old men, but I like it a lot.

Creative and lovely. I own the EDT and the EDP, as well as Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDT. All are equally brilliant and 100% unisex. The closest thing on the market today is, unsurprisingly, Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Masculin Pluriel - which is like a fresh, airy, metrosexual take on For Him. Completely charming.

Dusty and wet that’s sounds like contrasting that is such an interesting description. It sounds fantastic though musky fragrances are my favorite and I don’t like really loud and obnoxious things so it would be interesting. I’ll always keep my eyes out for it. I did pick up Catier Roadster Edt the other day at a discounter in the city and I picked it up so reasonably and I must say I am blow away by it the mint in there is incredible so I have to thank you mate for the amazing recommendation!!

Love this! I sometimes wear it with a little bit of Keihl’s original musk oil, and the dueling musks are magnificent throughout the day.

Excellent, you certainly are picking some great discontinued gems. To me it's inner city petrichor, on a sticky hot August day, that we have all experienced and not necessarily realised we like, love, crave. It's a must in any serious perfume collection. I've come to prefer the parfum over the edt, it stays that bit longer where I want it. Only downside I can think of is you can't tell how much of the juice you have left! Backup necessary if ever there was. Enjoyed this, cheers.

Got a sample of this a couple years ago should have got a full bottle when it was affordable now its outrageous pricing. Great fragrance though

This was great, amazing perfume. Starting to see where our tastes converge and diverge. The edp of this is, I think, me in a bottle - irisy violet musc (like worn-now-vegetal concrete or decaying infrastructure) . Have you tried it? And if so, any thoughts?

Correction to the reviewer. This perfume does not have flankers. It's completely unique and all others released by the house of Narciso Rodriguez are from the Blue Noire line. This Grey bottle which I've been using for the last 10 years and still have a couple of bottles saved. It's my all time great. If it has a cult following.. I'm first in the queue. I describe it as a Niche quality for a fraction of the cost. It is a more Musky and Patchouli based combination that is synonymous with the house and less of the perfumer. This is the bottle that made me follow the work of Francis Kourdjan. It's unusually unique and has a fugere, aromatic, mid-90s vibe about it, yet it's very modern. I don't get that "wet concrete" smell many people use to describe. One last thing.... It's way too strong, way too long lasting to be an Edt. It is a strong, masculine perfume for the winter, autumn evenings. A masterclass!!
