@@jameshunt6414It’s apparent that your limitations clearly include the lack of sound critical thinking skills and good solid judgment, because your comment and your assessment embodies and personifies the exact thing for which you erroneously criticize Mr. Vaknin. Complete rubbish. And lucky enough for all of us, you are not, nor would you ever be qualified to be included among those who decide the recipients of the prestigious award. Perhaps next time you feel compelled to make such a negative, baseless comment, keep it to yourself or take it somewhere else, as it’s not welcome here. All the best to you.

@@jameshunt6414 he’s talking about the psychological causes of psychosis Psychosis can also be caused by various other factors such us head injury, genetics, substance abuse etc No other person would dive this deep into the psyche so better be thankful

Amazing! Professor, can you please make a video about chronology of a neurotypical/healthy relationship? what goes into the mind of a neurotypically healthy person when they start a relationship?

Why does this sounds like a Narcissist trying to figure out how to behave as normal as possible 😂 If you were neurotypical, you’d know.

I love your videos because not only do they explain the concept of narcissism but give us the necessary history and background to make it really comprehensive. I have heard many, many videos on the matter by many, many people but this is by far the most all-inclusive video. It gives you a very direct perspective in a very clear way. A must for all those trying to understand the subject. Many, many thanks

It made me deeper evaluate and question my own lack of reality testing regarding myself . Specifically how I with dissociative states and lack of strong boundaries affect my teenage child.Specially after leaving abusive relationship with childs father. Mind-blowing 😅

This is an extremely powerful video. Thank you Sam for providing us with these thought provoking concepts in such a way that those hungry for deeper insights into their own condition can truly benefit. I am eternally grateful, without these videos I would be in a very dark place, searching for answers that nobody has. I am by far a changed and healthier person because of this channel. These types of videos are what I had been searching my whole life for and here they are, easy to comprehend and apply.

Amentia! That is it. As a child I was looking for “some other country” that had its shit together. I still am. We went to Ireland up next, Japan thinking we want to move somewhere that is not crazy chaotic America. And the catastrophising depressing prophecies. Haaaa. Anyway we will have a great vacation 😂

Sam, I value your work on toxic narcissism. Your insights on this topic which you have promulgated across the internet through self-help influencers have provided me with a lifeline and alllowed me to develop healthy boundaries. This video, however, makes me stop and wonder where the joy and meaning of life are to be found once we have disentangled ourselves from toxic relationships. So let me play the devil's advocate in the hope that you can throw me a few more bones. Is there any room for 'healthy' cathexis such as empathy and sympathy in this world view you posit? And what about love? Is there such a thing as a healthy cathexis or is it just all infantile delusion in your model? Also, in your model how would you account for the animist world view that sees the natural world as alive? Billions of people on this planet espouse such a world view. For them, earth and sky are living realms populated by ancestral hosts in which we have a vital part to play through our stewardship.
