Gets much worse when the narcissistic parent is really old 👴😠

I experience this happening to my 6yo son everytime he talks to his father on the phone. I have never met a narcissist before my son's father. He is the worst person in the world. It only gets worse and worse and worse. He always tells my son things that a child should not be involved with, adult issues.

My sister is using my nieces in ways that seem very narcissistic. I once had an opinion about a movie and posted it on social media. She told me my niece was angry about it, but yet my niece doesn't have social media. I asked to speak to my niece about it and I was denied. When she was pregnant with my niece she constantly threatened to not let me see the baby if I ever did anything she didn't approve of. She uses her children to try to control the family. It's hard to cope with. I suspect she's been telling my nieces that our family are bigots and anti-LGBTQ, but then when I came out as bisexual that put and end to that. It's like she's always looking for ploys to keep her kids away from us, almost as if she's worried they might like me too much. She's very jealous of everyone all the time.

My narc mom triangulated my sister and I . Forty years ago my sister said when she was with mom, mom would brag about me. When I was with mom, she'd only praise my sister and belittle me. The unfortunate thing is I caught on. I researched narcissism and I called out my mom on her tactics. My sister became the golden child and a narc who ended up resenting me and now is so hostile I cannot be around her. I was scapegoated and discarded. I sent my sister KZfaq videos hoping she would watch them and understand how we were being manipulated but she just got worse with time. I hoped after mom died we could get close as we were when we were young but she has totally discarded me.

I've been married to a Covert Malignant narcissist wife for 29 years. It's been 29 years of every video Emily makes. I wish I had these videos when I met this person as I had no idea about narcissist. My wife and I share a daughter together and since she was old enough to speak, my wife had been parental alienating her against me. She treated our daughter as the golden child and her best friend. She would try to overrule me if I tried to correct our daughter and tell our daughter she didn't have to listen to me, I was bi-polar, crazy, controlling, etc. I am not bi-polar or anything else. My wife always told her to do anything she wanted if it made her happy..... Horrible advice. Our daughter grew up and her and I didn't get along as she had zero respect for me due to her mother. Well when she was 26, she met a guy and they moved to another state and got married. My wife lost her mind as she wanted her to live at home forever and be "her baby". She raged, discarded me, cheated, the gamut. We're still married, but I'm divorcing her the first chance I have. She caused me to lose a great job I had in 2023 and I haven't worked since as I'm so beat down. I've pulled myself out of that and as soon as I get one, I'm gone. For those of you reading this, if a person refuses to communicate and gets mad and attacks you or gives you the silent treatment, when you bring up something they've done to hurt you, RUN. Don't give them a pass or a 20th chance. If they don't reciprocate respect and love, run. My wife refused any intimacy for 25 years and only cared about our daughter. We slept on separate bedrooms because she had our daughter in the same bed as her. Please don't do this to yourself. Oh and to add, it gets MUCH worse as they get older.

They can also use those in authority then use the law against the target in order to control them and use the children as a weapon. It affects the children most and is unjustified.

This is so awful, I’m going through so much with my now teenage daughter. If possible use Talking Parents App. I was lucky it was court ordered. He still try’s to go around it. I just had to keep the boundaries up 247. Everything is documented and time stamped. Check it out. Narcissist are the most selfish people I know. Wicked. Work on you. You deserve it!

My ex- husband and I had a good relationship after the divorce. We were married for 36 years and grew apart. My ex-husband married a malignant, covert narcissist. When he was talking to me about her I immediately knew her type and warned him, red flags 🚩 She has totally destroyed him, very sad. And she has turned her wrath toward me on day one. (5yrs ago) she is manipulating both of our children and my ex doesn't say anything. My daughter, started denying me access to my beautiful granddaughters, initially I wasn't included in birthdays or holidays. I began showing up unannounced to see my girls. I know exactly what is happening but my children can't see the manipulation. My daughter is accusing me of being a liar, but won't tell me what I have supposedly lied about. I've tried meeting with her through a therapist, she told my therapist yes or was a no show. Or gave me 10 reasons why she doesn't have time to meet. Now she won't even let me see my granddaughters and I'm Extremely worried about them. Especially my middle granddaughter who is depressed and apparently threatening suicide. Which flipped this Pediatric Critical Care RN, grandma out! My daughter was just blowing her off. I'm not even allowed to talk on the phone to my girls and she's telling them and the entire family that I'm crazy and dangerous. I'm beyond worried, I'm afraid of what I find out! Because I will explode. I haven't seen or heard from my granddaughters for an entire year now. And I've tried telling my daughter that she is destroying her relationship with her own girls and screwing them up at the same time! How do I battle Satan?

I think ppl should be prosecuted for child abuse and I'm serious about this because that is wrong and its criminal

Mine triangulates using my dogs! She pits me against them and puts me into no win situations with my dogs all the time! This always ends in a huge knock down drag out fight. She will buy a plant....set it on the porch....and when one of the dogs knocks it over or decides to eat the flowers....now she has an excuse to go off the deep end! And it's all her fault for putting a plant on the porch for them to mess with!!!

Ooh WOW I wouldn’t call THAT triangulation…. Like many other survivors, I use a neutral third party to monitor and sort out communication with the narc because he has used communication to harass, stalk and abuse me. When I caught him hacking into my social media account, and he texted me threatening my unborn child, I cut off ALL contact and now strictly go through third party ONLY. This protects me from his abuse and HIS TRUE triangulation (drama he attempts to start between his girlfriends and flying monkeys and me and my kids etc, even my husband.) So what you described isn’t really triangulation, it’s called boundaries and protection against narc abuse.
