Narita Airport (Tokyo) Shopping After Immigrations

Leaving Japan for the US, I decided to do some shopping inside Terminal 2 before I depart. There’s a massive store called AKIHABARA inside with all the confections!
I had to run to catch my flight to Dallas! I made it :) thanks for watching and happy shopping at Narita!

And I’m off ✈️ thank you for all of the happy travel messages!! 17 hours to go. I got some snacks for the meet up in NYC with the super chats so you’ll be with us there too! Just made the flight - JUST MADE IT - they knew my name at the gate! That last guy ... 😂 infamous. See you in Dallas 🤠 or New York with more streams! HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND! -John (From inside the plane. Flight attendant giving me dirty looks so better go airplane mode.)

Oh man the Hokkaido melon Kitkat, super delicious! I'm so glad I bought a couple of packs with me to Sweden! Still got 1 left and hopefully the still sell them this April!

Stay safe and when I was flying from London to Orlando I missed my flight because it was early and i had to stay in a hotel To catch the next flight home to Louisiana

Hi John, I noticed your meet up location was set for the Holiday Market at Union Square, but I don’t think it’ll be there any more after Christmas. It’s a seasonal pop up thing, but there’s always lots of people hanging out in that location (Union Square Park).

Do they charge premium for the items? Standard airport stall practice here is to triple or even quadruple the prices of stuff you can get.

Experiment Eks it wasn’t that expensive but it was about 10% more. Sake prices were also reasonable, the same as in the supermarket. I usually do gift shopping for souvenirs at the airport because I don’t like carrying it all! I’ll pay an extra $5-$10 total for that. Crowded trains stink with luggage.

You go through immigration before boarding? Interesting! Here in the US (at least at the airport in my city) you just take off like normal and only need to go through customs and immigration upon arrival from international flights.

My gf had a 5 hour layover at Narita Terminal 2 but she was not able to visit ANY STORES at all, there was only 2 vending machines lol..

How much can you take on the airplane with you? Like is there a limit to how many bags or pounds of things you can buy? After you check your baggage and are shopping like you are

I think you can bring stuff you buy inside the terminal without a problem IF it fits but some airlines have stricter rules. Just depends. Never had a problem with JAL and ANA.

How long are you going to be in the states before returning to Japan? Know some people in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. Watch out for the dirty and dingey subways in NYC; absolutely nothing like Japan, for sure.

Charlie Beagle it’s just enough time for a short trip to Narita city! Wonderful temple and shopping! Nice vibe around that area and a preview of Japan. At the airport, restaurants, shopping and usual stuff. I’ve don’t a few videos inside Narita.

The work environment in Japan, under the Ministry of Health Labor and Welfare of Japan worker rights policy, that is great opportunity to buy all kinds of cultural and ethnic items of Japan. Banking and postal service are not more important to the worker rights, however the laws and regulations have a much involved use in all of Japan that questions the phone and internet technology with landing permit verse the entry permit for transit of South East Asia and how the airlines kept the (Home) postal address of the passengers.

I might do some streams at home :) Yes, I’ve had some trouble with the Smooth Q already. It can’t handle the weight when the phone goes down. And need to come up. We say that twice. Not good during a live stream but other than that, it’s been okay 👌
