On a cold December Saturday in 2007, the North Texas Chapter of tht National Railroad Historical Society got a behind the scenes tour of the 3 foot narrow gauge steam operations at the Six Flages Over Texas Amusement Park at Arlington, Texas.
I had first seen these locomotives when I was 12 or 13 years old. Not resembling any typical park type locomotive, I pondered where did they come from? Years later the answer was M. A. Patout & Sons sugar plantation at Patoutville, Louisiana.
