Incorrect. There is no correct answer. For example, I use my water bottle strictly for water. Therefore, I don't need to worry about cleaning it -- just add some baking soda and vinegar, shake, and rinse. I also don't want to buy another piece of equipment for my water bottle (a guard). So, for MY purposes, a narrow mouth is the clear winner. :)

I recently became an owner of a wide mouth Nalgene, would like an adapter to make it fit in the cup holder in my car.

I’m getting a narrow mouth. It will only be for water so no need to add ice or fruit. No need to purchase a separate lid.
