I can only imagine how Jiraiya *really* felt here to have finally met Naruto in person, considering just how close Jiraiya and Minato were, and the fact that Minato & Kushina wanted Jiraiya to be Naruto's Godfather. In a sense, this was probably akin to Jiraiya meeting his almost teenage grandson for the first time. He was probably having a lot of fun goofing around with Naruto chasing him down and just kept it hidden.

@@andrewvasquez7872 Tsunade as well. IIRC, in the fairytale I think Tsunade was Jiraiya's lover and actively helped him to defeat Orochimaru, or something along those lines.

It's not that I don't think they're enjoying themselves - they obviously do as they'll get expressive during some major moments. And I'm sure they're quiet because they're just taking in the story and all that - and with so many people, if they were all talking, it'd be chaotic and no one could hear/pay attention. I just feel like if they wanted to just chill and watch the show, they could do that on their own time. They're not really reacting or engaging with the story. Nothing against them, just more of what I prefer when I watch reacts (and tbf to them, they're far from being annoying).

For real, but then again, I watched the dub for the whole series. This is my first time watching it in sub.

I think it's more that he's spying on women without their knowledge or, more importantly, *consent* that they take issue with. Seeing a woman naked without her knowledge or consent is a massive invasion of privacy, and if nothing else their own body should be the one thing they have absolute control over, including who gets to see them nude. I mean, how would *you* feel to find out that a total stranger had been spying on you without your knowledge while you were bathing? I highly doubt you would enjoy it. Jiraiya's a great character, yes, but this particular trait of his is pretty much his biggest character flaw.

Nah man, people are just acting like white knights. Also it's a usual stuff for anime as it ads to comedy.
