Technically, most characters stole the show from Naruto. Naruto was one of the least interesting characters in the show, you can list at least 10 better written characters than Naruto. Madara, Sasuke, Itachi, Kakashi, Nagato (Pain), Guy, Obito, Orochimaru, Gaara, and even Danzo that I ABSOLUTELY HATE but I can’t deny that he’s a great villain because of our messed up he is, along with Orochimaru.

Near infinite chakra, rival of the legendary first hokage, possesses the most powerful visual prowess, the rinnegan, including all most all of its powers, planetary devastation, almighty push and pull, and the ability to absorb chakra... to top that off he also possesses the susano’o. His ninjustu, taijutsu, and genjustu are off the charts........... with that being said madara could have died many times during the war (mainly because of naurto and saskue) but due to madara’s intelligence as a ninja he was able to counter everything with only of few seconds to think. Madara took on the top tier shinobi including an army of ninja. Madara may be an equal to hashirama but he was able to take on the 5 present kage, and the 4 previous kage of the hidden leaf..... it may not seem like it but naruto and saskue both should have died thanks to their arrogance and courage they pulled it off.. honestly what a well put together anime
